Might as well load up on it, it's cheap and doesn't go bad. I got 100' of wire and 10' of wick for under $8.00 shipped from ebay.
Yes, true, I'll be rebuilding Kanger T3' heads and Protank 1, 2 and mini heads and Evod bcc heads. What gauge would you recommend? 30, or 32 or something else? Thanks!

#4 I'm still in allergydom. Sneeze-o-rama. a)Toothbrush, dish soap, scrub, rinse, repeat, repeat... repeat. Those things are filthy. Watch out for metal shavings. Remove the post screws and airflow control screw before washing, they tend to rust quickly if soaked in water, depending on which version you bought. They shouldn't be nearly as dirty compared to the rest of the parts.

b)Go with whatever has been working. It has been working, yes? I find experimenting with coils to be a waste of time without a video for reference. I've tried a dragon coil straight from the air hole and sideways, double dragons (both directions), diamond(?)... micro-coils still treat me the best. Easy tip: don't skimp on the wick & tuck some under the coil if possible. Your Mojo May vape better.

Post-post edit-edit:
It's basically just wider, spreading the heat out over more area than round wire. 3 wraps would cover 2-5 times the wick, depending on what gauge/resistance you have. It doesn't work on microcoils, making cotton ball wick or any re-wicking a poor choice for ribbon wire. It's usually good on SS and silica, especially in gennies. Standard JMO, AFAIK, :2c:, blah, blah.

For my next trick, I'm going to attempt quadruple twisted 32 gauge. I don't know what else to do with it, and I probably have 75 feet left.
ive read that about the cleaning, woulnt had thought to remove the screws. appreciate the tip!
for the igo build, i think id like to retry the EKO, i havent had a great build with it yet. maybe just a simple non MC?
the dragon coil worked well for me, most the time. it took some moving around of the saturated cotton. it didnt put out the clouds like i anticipated tho.
so far, by best simple build has been a wide MC, im not sure the size of the drill bit, maybe 3/16? its about 1.5-2x wider than the rda screw and allows for a snug doubled over 2.5mm silica wick to fit thru. i leave a small amount of wick on one side (its usually right up against the cover wall) but importantly touching the deck, and a leg or two of the other side of the wick to rest in the deck.

what was the looped build you did? i tired one (guesswork) a couple months back and it failed...
some thinner silica 1.5 mm is in my future, as i'd like to reduce the size (~3/16) of the MC, but this is the smallest my silica will fit thru doubled.

using cotton, ill make a much smaller MC, but i find i change out the cotton more often...

1: Yeah for the weekend!!
I want my cookie Snarf!
...........for pif?

#2 I need some Kanthal wire, but not 100 feet or 50 feet, probably about 3 feet.

Thats exactly what i rebuild, I use 32 gauge wire 3mm wick, i use a t-pin to stabilize the wick as i wrap. 5 wraps puts me at about 2.1Ω, I can wrap 3 at a time on one t-pin cut that into thirds (obviously) and then trim off the excess after it is put back together.

I would LOVE to see pictures of that set up! I have some Nichrome sitting around I will never use... might be worth trying something like this...

Oh i have never used cotton, I've heard good things about maybe I'll try it some time. But will need a little but of advice.

There are some threads here about it, here's one

I practiced using cotton yarn from Wal-Mart to see if I could do it. And that's what I'll probably try when I get some Kanthal.

4: It is better than silica for flavor after it has been broken in, it tastes better than SS, but does not last as long. Get some candle wick, lead free, at hobby lobby or a craft store. Boil it for 20 minutes, let dry and enjoy.

What a totally unproductive day I've had. I guess that's okay once in while--but I seem to have had an awful lot of them lately!

Thanks for those links, Lynzy. I'm going to read through them, too. The couple of times that I've bought it myself, I've always just picked up small amounts of the wire--I guess it makes sense to get more. I'll take MoonLit's advice and look at eBay (I'm also looking at a dental pick there for rebuilding).
