sounds like salt river canyon :)
#4 I lived in Phoenix, AZ and Mesa, AZ for over a year......went tubing in a river one time. I remember we had to drive a long time to get to water. We drove way up in the mountains a few times to a beautiful lake surrounded by canyons......awesome!

77 minutes left on the clock.
im quite anxious to leave already!

I've got to get some serious work done this evening. I was supposed to spend the day getting my students emails entered into my computer and sending readings to all my students for next week. I have yet to do any of that because I've been sleeping on and off all day (I didn't sleep well last night).

I've heard very good things about Dallas Buyer's Club, LD. I tend to avoid going to movies in theaters because rude movie patrons inevitably piss me off with their texting and, often, actual talking on the phone. Seriously, obviously that guy who shot someone last week for texting in the theater went way over the line. . . but I have to admit that part of me understands the impulse! (Am I going to burn for that?)

Yes, deb, that is a very pretty tank!

1- Wow so busy, and I was supposed to work on Sunday, talked my boss into letting me have 3 weeks of leave, only have to take 12 days for that though. And if all goes as planned, I will be in the Warrior Transition Unit and the Wounded Warrior Program and not have to deal with my little pit in the Pentagon except to get my uniform that is in the closet there.

I think it was Canyon Lake.......isn't that Salt River Canyon area? I visited Tucson, and I really liked Tucson a lot better than Phoenix. I have relatives who moved to Tucson years ago. Would love to visit AZ again!

Doc, i like how you Italicized the movie name! You must me an english professor!

Do all of our typos, misspellings and grammatical errors bother you?
My mother is an 8th grade english teacher and had strict standards as it pertained to language and writing.

I hope not, I know I am horrible when it comes to such things, quite inconsistent too.

#5 You are in my prayers also Sky. This might be a dumb question but why do you call it "hybrid" ?

Thanks for the compliments on my tank. I also decided to find a way to make use of a tank I got awhile back that is also quite pretty with a frosted design, but it was so dark that I could never see the juice level. It kept bugging me so I got the Squid RDA (very tiny thing) It fits inside the dark tank perfectly. So I have now turned that tank into a RDA. Mission accomplished! :)

i have to look up a synopsis of the movie, i have no clue what its about other than it was nominated for some awards and has matty mccon.....(sp?).....

i may opt out of the movie, as something has come up that may require my attention, hopefully not.......

I believe it's about the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic when very few drugs were approved and some people created underground ways to get drugs to treat people. Yeah, McCon. . .I can't spell it either. . . is in it. Apparently Jared Leto is really great, too.

Dead giveaway, huh? If I spent any energy thinking about grammar and spelling online, I would lose my mind. I refuse to be the grammar police on the internet, and to be honest my grammar online is sometimes not the greatest! So, no, it doesn't bother me in the least.

Like I said, online it doesn't matter to me, but if anyone is really interested. . . .generally, longer works like books, films, TV shows, etc. are italicized; shorter works like book chapters, poems, song titles go in quotation marks. Don't take your cue from Jeopardy--they always do it wrong (and that does bug me because it's a professional context).

Internet forums (should that be "fora"--I honestly don't know) are so informal that it just doesn't matter. In fact, people who do self-appoint themselves as "grammar police" are what I really find irritating.

#2 It was a long day. I missed a few topics, and don't know where to start. This evening will be busy as well, I'll just wrap it all together in case this is my last post for the day...

I may not get to take pictures of my new homemade mod until tomorrow, just as well since I'm supposed to have some vapemail also worth sharing. At this point, I'm about 3 mods behind in sharing. The latest isn't that fancy, those Groove's that were recalled have hit the market again, the issue was case screws hitting the battery which is not included now. ~$12 get's you all the guts of a Groove minus the battery and 1/2 the case. I just put it in a new box with an 18650 holder.

Weather? It drizzled for hours and then came the freezing and sleet for a few more. ~245 car collisions in and around Austin last night and this morning, one had ~20 cars and another ~15. Police and EMS were busy. This rarely happens down here and the system just can't handle it.

Home. I've stayed in Texas. One side of my family has been in Texas for many generations, the other has been in Texas or new Mexico for many generations. It's a big state. I've traveled around but didn't have a good enough reason to leave. I'm not crazy about the politics, but that goes for just about everywhere. No matter where you go, there you are... I'd probably happy enough wherever I reside. The summers are brutal but the winters are great, I can take the heat and I'll probably live here until the end.

If I don't make it back, you folks have a lovely Friday night. Stay warm if you can, and good luck with the contest!

Edit:
2: What I do not like about grammar police going after people, is that I do not ever recall one time people stating "I am perfect at spelling and grammar and all the language arts" So why do the grammar police go after people who never made such a claim?
I stayed with a French exchange student who often said "I speak very well English". This was tolerable, but when he claimed both BBQ and hamburgers were invented by the French I punched him in the nose. I know my grammar is far from perfect, and spell checker is on my case all the time... but I do try and accept mistakes. Pointing out the mistakes would be pointless in my case. YMMV. :p
