The girl of course :) At 12 she could be across the county ten minutes after her leaving the house to go two does down the road. We had to get her a phone to keep track of her :)

For sick I believe I. Homemade chicken soup with lots of thyme (good for clearing mucus) and parsley (good iron source)
Put a whole chicken I. Crockpot with water and herbs. Add veggies of choice then cook till meat falls off bones. Remove bones. Add cooked rice or noodles if you want. Then eat/drink :)

I'll crack open a Campbell's Chicken Noodle when I do get sick - but yours sounds good for all the time...like right now! :)

#2 - I might have to try that Emergen-c. Woke up this morning a littlr stuffy and now im starting to feel rather crummy. I could go for some chicken noodle soup or chicken and dumplings. Florida sounds so good right now. I grew up in Las Vegas and I feel silly that I use to complain ab it getting "cold" there. How I let my family talk me into moving closer to them in Wisconsin is beyond me.

Scratchy throat last night...downed some Emergen-C...feel better this morning!

I swear by Emergen-C's. When I feel like I may be coming down with something, I do one or two packets and I'm back in fighting shape! Stuff is magic :)

...hope it works for ya, levisdaddy :)

Thanks we like it :)

I try not to use canned food. I'm allergic to way too many of the extra ingredients.

Does sound good. Im waiting for the next time im at target or wally world and see a crock pot on sale, been wanting one for a while.
makes cooking easy as possible.

im spacing the Emergen-Cs out to one in morning, one in evening. At costco last month they had a 3-box case for $18!!
When i worked at Sprouts, a single box was 12-15$, so 3 for 18 was a no-brainer!

#2 Emergen-C is good stuff, but like most vitamins, it works much better if you take it in combination with food containing the same vitamins. I have an Emergen-C almost everyday, followed by an orange/citrus fruit or a v8. Today it was 2 tangelos, probably my favorite seasonal fruit. I might have a glass of v8 later as well, just so I don't have to

Yep, nothing like "Jewish Penicillin" when one is sick. The problem is that when I'm sick, the last thing that I want do is actually cook it. No shame in opening a can of soup when your sick.

I love using the crockpot. I don't use it very often, but it's so easy! Thanks for reminding me that I own one!

Lol I can live without mine. I have two people going in two differ directions most days and only one vehicle do I do the fetching and dropping off. It makes sense to load the crock pot up before I leave cause it's usually ready when I get back :)

I made a pot roast last week. Used the leftovers( I took it out before the boys got to it) to make stroganoff :)

I'm thinking chili while the boy is gone. Or meatloaf. Not sure yet.

A lot of insomniacs hang out here...it makes for great reading when I get up.......
Schnarph..... Emergen C is great...so are 1000 mg Vitamin C..........up to 6 a day when I get sick..........
It's the B vitamins that keep me going. They probably provide more energy than the 2-3 cups of coffee I drink. When I don't have an Emergen-C, I'll have some fruit juice or V8 and a B-complex tablet. And I wonder why I'm up so late at night...

Edit: I'm cooking chili tonight. I'll try to remember to post my recipe, it's somewhat unique and you folks may find it interesting.

#3 Nothing like home made chicken soup! Sounds good, I like to add lots of garlic. I really like garlic, started growing it a few years ago.
