(Sigh) I just got off the phone with my partner. He got pulled over this afternoon and his car was impounded! Ever since he left PR and moved back to Minnesota, he's had problems with the DMV and getting an official license. At first, he applied (I think he had to take both the written and driving tests actually because his PR license had expired), and they gave him a temporary license and said to expect the official one in the mail. After several months it still hadn't arrived. He then went back and they told him that his license was revoked because he had an unpaid ticket from 2001--when we last lived in Minnesota. He paid the ticket and the reinstatement fee for the license. Then the waiting game was on again and the license never arrived. So, this afternoon he was pulled over and they told him that the license was "revoked." Clearly there is a huge screw-up at the DMV. Hopefullly he can get it resolved tomorrow.

This crap apparently was a bit like the straw that broke the camel's back, and we had a long talk about the possibility of him moving back. Of course, nothing would make me happier (I can't tell you how much I miss him). But, the reason he left in the first place was that he couldn't find a decent job which was both financially draining, but it also wrecked havoc on his self-esteem. I don't know what we're going to do. . . I'm sure this won't be the last time I mention it.

Invoking the 15 minute rule.

I can't understand why it's after midnight, yet I still have yet to eat! I eat late all the time, but today I planned ahead. Before I left for class, I got everything done for dinner. . . all I had to do was bake it for about 20-25 minutes. I know it's really unhealthy to eat and then go to bed. . . Okay, time for homemade enchiladas.

If you eat a heavy meal such as a steak, within an hour of bed, it helps you falls asleep faster

@Ktribb. . . true, but it sits in your stomach like a rock for hours! Obviously, the healthiest thing to do is to eat more early in the day to give the body fuel. Sadly, in my case, these midnight meals are more often than not the only thing I eat all day!

Maybe I'll get up and make eggs in the morning. I'm thinking of returning to a low-carb diet (the only diet that has ever worked for me in the long term!).

@DocTonyNYC, yea, it may sit in your stomach, or when your body starts going into deep rest then ketosis, it burns through the fats and protein, have you tried the 4-hour body? It's a book/diet, and more, I give it race reviews rather than just restricting yourself of carbs.

1 -- Good Morning Everyone

Happy it's Friday! I work every other weekend & it's my weekend off. Going on Sunday to put the deposit down on my venue for my wedding reception. It's at a golf club and you need to have a Sponsor in order to rent the room...we had one but unfortunately he passed away last year so we're kinda in a tight spot right now and unsure of when his membership ran out. (I feel horrible) I guess if worse comes to worse I can always explain things to the guy and if I have to register for a years membership? If it's something crazy outrageous than I guess we won't be having it there
