Well, I've been looking at travel possibilities next week. As some of you know, I have to go to New York every few months for a medical appointment. (Okay, I don't really "have to," but after my last doctor in PR decided to stop treating patients I lost my patience.) I had hoped to catch a late flight on Thursday night--after my class. Unfortunately, there are no flights that late so I will probably fly on a very early flight on Friday (arriving JFK 11:15 a.m.) and then pray that I make it to the doctor's office in Manhattan in time for my 2:15 appointment (which was his latest available appointment). Three hours should be okay as long as the flight is on time--I hate cutting things this close, though!

The good news is that Hotwire has a ton of available rooms available at reasonable prices (actually, even the flight isn't too bad considering how long I waited to book this).

Sorry, I know that this has to be one of the dullest posts ever. . . I'm kind of using this to think through everything!

4. Joan, you should get him one of those really nice enclosed Kubotas with the bed in the back, this way he can haul things around in the back and terrorize the neighborhood rain or shine!

#4 I just want an old wheezy golf cart for him. That is why I made him stop driving... he went 70 no matter where he was going or the posted speed limit and I would be afraid of him deciding that he could take it to the store or wherever. We woiuld yell at him and tell him to slow down and he would smile and take his hearing aids off.

5- huzzah I got my fifth in!

I never win anything bur it sure is fun to try.

I can has tapatalked this.

Well, one thing is certain. . . you can't win if you don't enter. If it makes you feel any better, I've entered this contest every week since I joined ECF. . . I've never won it (although I've won a lot of things in ECF contests). But, most importantly, this is my favorite group of people on all of ECF--that's what keeps me coming back.

(Did you see that, Uncle? I went from sarcastic, cranky, and slightly .....y to VERY, VERY nice. . . just had to point that out. I guess certain professionals might call that a personality disorder?)

Huzzah! I re-wicked my RSST again tonight--much better coil (and not bad for my second ever if I do say so myself). I also successfully drilled out the air hole a bit. . . but barely. I want to go bigger in very small increments. Now, what to fill it with? I think Banyan Tree is the ticket!

Okay, my last post for the night. . .

I agree with you a wandering soul--most of the people on ECF are very kind and helpful (of course, there are some exceptions). That's pretty amazing considering the sheer size of the site. A lot of it has to do with the fact that there are some pretty strict rules. Sometimes I think the rules go way overboard on ECF, but I do think they help make this a more civil place.

Slightly random thing that I just noticed. I was checking the tracking progress on several things that are in the mail. One of the items originated in a town called Carefree (it's in Arizona). What a great name for a town! At the risk of possibly offending someone, I can't imagine ever living in Arizona--I couldn't stand the oppressive heat (PR is plenty hot for me) and the majority politics are completely opposite of my own (hey, I grew up in Utah--I've paid my dues, thank you very much). But still, very cool name!

Well, good night everyone!
