my eating habits have been severely effected by recent stress.

in the last 3-4 months, and this is not an exaggeration, i have (as of this morning) lost 30 pounds. bringing me an unhealthy < 145..

i barely have eaten for the last 3 weeks. cooking has become laborious, meals or family dinners have ceased, breakfast is a thing of the past. even starving does not motivate, food has become less appealing and i am finding i start to get a lot of anxiety and stomach cramps whenever i begin to search out food, usually leading me to not eat, as my appetite disappears with these cramps.
i think this will change once the EX is outta the house, and my stress levels subside.
i dont mind the weight loss, but i dont feel good (other than being sick) often lethargic and without energy.

sorry to type this, i almost deleted it twice..

Hey, LD, do not apologize. One of the things that I really appreciate about this group is that everyone is pretty comfortable sharing the "stuff" going on in our, sometimes difficult, lives.

Stress/change/BS can really have an impact on our eating habits. I'm one of the biggest stress eaters on the planet, but I've also been known to practically starve myself when I'm depressed. You're going through a major life change. I can relate because, as I think you know, my partner of 14 years moved back to Minnesota about 18 months ago. It's a complete 360 to go from living with someone to being alone. It takes some time to adjust. . . . I'll let you know when I have finally adjusted (okay, that's depressing!).

Try to find things that are both easy to prepare and easy to eat. Unfortunately, most "convenience" foods are less than healthy, but there are certainly many options that are not so bad. Even if it's just a peanut butter sandwich (or almond butter, or my new favorite coconut butter). . . you've got to take care of yourself, and you need the fuel to function.

Hang in there, friend.

Good night everyone.
