4. Sounds like you also need some potassium Doc, eat some bananas!
Did a homemade chicken pot pie tonight, it was so good, the whole thing disappeared!
I already take potassium (and magnesium)
supplements because I have a long history of debilitating leg cramps (where the muscles completely seize up)--usually in the middle of the night. Bananas, which I love, are too high in sugars for my diet, and don't provide enough potassium to make it worth it for me. I really think that the main issue is that I want to be in great shape RIGHT NOW! Yeah, the "instant gratification" thing has been a recurring theme
throughout my life!
I love chicken pot pie. . . also not on my diet.
I have to say that I'm really proud of myself as far as my diet (and exercise, for that matter) has been going. I wish I was losing weight faster (it used to be so easy in my 20s), but that's just a fact of life when one gets a little older. Admittedly, I haven't weighed myself for several days (I'm a "daily weigher," and that's one of the things I'm trying to get away from--weekly, I think, is a better indication). I haven't "cheated," nor have I really been tempted. It's funny how easy it can be when I put my mind to it. I finally got so fed up with myself--that was all the motivation I needed, I guess! I guess another way of putting this, that I know some of you will "get"--I clearly hit my bottom. Aside from not being able to get into most of my clothes, I really would like to live to see 50 (after having a heart attack at 44).
