Bella - Dating? Oy!
What was the outcome with your daughter and hubby yesterday?

He went and picked her up and they had a talk in the car on the way home. She came home and apologized to me and she's on restriction for a while.

I have no idea why I'm up this early. Went to bed around 1 woke up at 5.

1. Morning Treefam....I am really dragging today...5 days off was just not enough...I need another week! :p

I remember when I was growing up was when the term changed from grounded to restriction...have no idea why, but can remember as a teenager my friends saying they were on restriction and telling them oh you mean grounded...with my kids I used both terms, just whatever came out at the time....Bella, I don't envy you having a daughter who is ready to date...in this day and age, I'd probably lock her up until she's 30! ;)

Yeah, I told her I wish we had a basement because I'd probably lock her in it if we did. If she keeps being a little brat, I won't have to worry about it for a while because she's not going to be able to go anywhere with the attitude she's been having.

Hope you have a good day at work today Angel!

Bella - Although I'm not a parent, I do know how scary that is.:unsure:
Glad, and not glad, she can't go anywhere for awhile.;)

Mac - Dunno? My parents used the term restriction, but I heard classmates use the term grounded. I'm over 45, but under 50. ;)

@ "bella" - First things first - NO I am not a Parent (At least not that I know of  and THANKFULLY ;) ), however after working with Women for many years, including in a couple of different Women's Health Clinics were one of my duties was counseling Girls and Young Women about their Sexual Health, STD&I's, and Pregnancy Options all I am going to say right now is . . . GOOD LUCK . . . AND - As for her attitude, especially now that she wants to start dating. . . Can we say - HORMONES ! ! ! I do not envy "You", or any parent for that matter, in this day and age given what is out there and happening today . . .

I know that Wifey and I had this conversation many times, what would've happened if we had a girl instead of 2 boys. We would have been divorced. My rules would've been much different than hers. If I had a girl she wouldn't of been able to leave the house until she turned 21. Wifey would have wanted the same rules as the boys. Why do I think that way? Because I was once a teenage boy! LOL! I'm glad both of my boys are no longer teens.
