Good Morning, Sir2Fy, that photo is definitely a "GOOD Morning" shot!
I never fully worked out the tips you shared for me on photo postings. Now, I think I'll see if it works the same after the new software.

I got a chuckle on your lawn mower story. Something tells me that you are very well known around town from your story!

Reminded me of an incident that I had not thought of in a few years. Only this was about a car. I had returned from out of town, husband on business out of state. It was just me and the cats home. 3 AM I awoke to an extremely loud knock on the door. I called out in my most aggressive, "don't mess w/me" voice, "WHO'S THERE"? (At first, I thought I'd try a loud, mean dog bark, since the cats were not willing to help).
Response: POLICE.
ME: SHOW ME YOUR BADGE. Through my peep hole, he did (saw the B&W there, too). I am a law abiding person, and nothing would indicate that a crime was in progress or something like that. I let him in. Turned out that husband's car had been stolen from our driveway, and recovered about a week before. I never noticed it was missing. Really. I came home, and didn't think anything about not seeing my husband's car. -He was out of town, after all- The thief basically had a loooong history of seeing a car he liked, and just taking it as his own car. He got caught because he replaced our lic plate with a plate from a stolen vehicle. I had so much on my plate, that it would not have dawned on me that the car was gone until hubby called with his return flight data, so I could pick him up at the airport. Therefore, no STOLEN report from me! The bugger was that we keep a high deductible with our insurance. It was a clean car, but an older Honda. We would have come out better if it had never been found. I spent 2 days bailing it out jail (police impound in a distant city) and repairing the damage the thief had done to it (mostly just annoying things, but the time and money was more than I would have thought it would have been.) The theif went to jail, so did the car, it cost us money. Nobody won. Crime does not pay, trust me!

Have a good day, TreeFam white-cedar.jpg

RangerRobin - I made a typo, it was your post on how you still smoked and vaped before you made the final flip. I mistakenly addressed my earlier post to JPF. Ranger, your story was very appreciated. Congrats on you recent contest winnings, too. Your vaping Anniversary Celebration continues! (One more advantage to vaping. Smoking doesn't really have rewards, and certainly not TreeFams!)

JPF - However you switched to vapes, good for you! (Though you probably wondered what the heck I was talking about). And congrats on the new setup win!

I'll be up working, probably check in again tonight. Maybe I really should have a Nite Owl ID! The tree is in honor of our new TreeFam home.

BluLtspcL I just thought you read one of my old posts. I started vaping in Jan of 2011, but I started not to quit smoking but so I would not have to go outside in the freezing cold and snow or when it was pouring down raining. I found ECF in Feb and learned of better equipment and it soon became a hobby. I found myself smoking less and vaping more then in about June I was only smoking 2 cigs a day, one in the morning when I let my dogs out then one on my ride home from work at nite. One morning I just picked up my mod and quit smoking. Then in September of that year I did a grand opening in Chicago for the company I was working for and would go outside when everyone else was smoking and started bumming cigs from people, smoked on and off till sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2011 and have not smoked since. It took me almost a year to quit completely. So you could of been talking to me.

It was a whim. A spontaneous decision of which I had little faith.

A little over 3 months ago I went into the cigarette store to buy 3 cartons of cigs and saw a blister pack of vape (650 mah battery and CE 5 top). A neighbor had put vape in my head months earlier so I said to myself "oh what the hell" and picked it up with a bottle of e juice. I probably had a cigarette dangling in my mouth as I got home and took it out of the package and filled the tank. I tried it and thought "oh wow, I could like this". I struggled for the next 12 days, smoking and vape. Then I found my proper nicotine level, had some better tanks, and juice I liked. Three months ago today I had my last cigarette, and three months ago today I put my last unopened pack of cigarettes and all the lighters in a cabinet. Perhaps I put them there "just in case", but they remain untouched thanks to vape.

Now to many of you and myself it is a reason to celebrate or just recognize the accomplishment. But the struggle didn't end three months ago, it just became a newer struggle. The first month was the most difficult. Three months ago I found ECF, and I had help. On ECF I learned to keep a tank with higher nicotine level juice in it close just to hit when the cravings "itched", and it worked. I learned there were hundreds if not thousands of people going through the same experience that I was. I learned that ECF not only gave immense moral support just from reading the "threads", but that there was a huge number of individuals, "experts" if you will, who had been down this path before me and provided information and education about vape.

I had the goal of reducing my nicotine level to zero when I first realized vape was going to work for me. I started at 12 mg. For one month I didn't budge from this level. Then I started getting my juice in lower levels, and combining 2 bottles of juice to change the flavor or reduce the nicotine. UGH! I hate to think how much money I wasted that first month or two, but yet what I was doing was working to keep me off the cigs. I cannot place a numerical value on how much my life has improved since I was able to get off the cigs.

The first drop in nicotine level was the most difficult for me. It was almost like the first weeks of vape and at times I was chain vaping a lower level. In a short time it passed and I achieved 10 mg, then 9mg, better equipment (Nautilus Mini, 1.8 ohm coils), then 6 mg. Then I got into the world of sub ohm (Kanger Subtank mini 1.2 ohm coils). As I type this I am hitting a 6mg juice in the Nautilus, just to get rid of all my 6mg stuff. (I'm not cheap, ok, yes I am but I prefer frugal). I use 3 mg in the Kanger, and have even started using ZERO mg nicotine when I feel like chain vaping (ok, I do chain vape often) or just to help myself get used to the lower nicotine level of 3mg. The first reduction was the hardest, the rest of the drops I took as a personal challenge and found them easier. This isn't something new, thousands have led me on this well beaten path. My journey has been one of plateaus and downward improvements, but the upward surge of life improvement is immeasurable.

So today I am just counting the cigarettes I won't have. It's just another slash on my calendar and tomorrow is another day. I can remember someone laughing in the forum as they said I would be surprised how fast the days will go by. It makes me chuckle at the thought.

I think I'll spend the day researching my next "shinyitis" purchase, and trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip to pay for it.

Have a great day everyone.

1. Good morning treefam! I'm in a good mood for once. Well, maybe not all sunshine and rainwbows good mood, but smile at you instead of growl at you good mood

Y'all say a prayer, daughter is on her way to take the test to get her learners permit. I'm hoping to see her driving when her and her daddy return today. She's perfectly content not to have a license, but she's almost 17 and I'm TIRED of being a taxi.

Congrats Robin, on your awesome win!! I was so happy to see that you had won!

Congrats Sir on 3 months!

It's coffee time!

It's gonna rain here soon, and for the rest of the day.

I changed the fuel filter on my truck and then went to NAPA and bought new plugs and wires and air filter. Another 60,000 mile update I reckon.

I tried calling my parents all morning, busy signal and know they have call waiting. The line could be out, and they weren't answering their cell phones. Hmm.... So I drove over there and found them both healthy, pc and phone not working. Dad grumpily said he tried to reset the modem but it was still out. So I unplugged everything, waited and plugged it back in. PC works, no phone. Then mom comes in and says "I bet it's where I forgot to hang up the phone last night." Sure enough, hang up the phone and everything works. PARENTS : free to a good home. Call me at :

I just find I am on late-late (or early-early, depending on how one looks at it, since I often work late before going to bed). I post after your "good nights" and still working and here you are with good mornings! OK - I guess it's back to work for us!

WELL - Since there were/are many people from different time zones and who Work/are Online at different time of the day posting here it did get confusing for a lot of people - that is the reason why "jpf" actually coined the "MorningNite" phase for "Us" to use here in "The Vape Tree" threads . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

@ "Sir2" - CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! AND - Really nice read, especially how Ya' got to where "You" are now and being able to quit smoking . . .

EDIT: Saw the other post - Just Got Rid of The Last One a while ago - SO NO . . . Don't NEED nor WANT a New Set - NOR Any Individual One either . . . GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GIVE THEM AWAY . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

@ "GMG" - I do not envy "You" or "Your" children's day ahead, however do want "Everyone" to know that "GOOD VIBES & "THOUGHTS" are being sent, especially for a safe, easy, and fast delivery of "Your" NEW Grand-Babe . . .
New-Arrival--Baby-Boy-baby-new-arrival-congrats-smiley-emoticon-000301-facebook.gif

@ "Bella' - Thankfully - I never ever had to be in "Your" shoes . . . Even So - "GOOD VIBES & "THOUGHTS" are being sent . . . NOW - I think it is time to tell Ya' Neighborhood if she does get her permit/licence so that they can decide to get off the road or even . . .

2. What started out as a rare good mood for me has only gotten better as the day went on! :D

Mailman brought me my vapemail my friend sent me. A large flat rate box full of eliquids and vape goodies. All the juice I've given away in the last couple of weeks has been replaced with juice that doesn't have nicotine. What a blessing! I was down to very little juice and now I have enough for months. I'm so thankful for the awesome people I've met since I started vaping!

Someone told me last week that I was crazy to give away all the juice I had with nicotine instead of selling it. To them I say "See, by blessing others, you will be blessed!" It was right after I gave all that juice and my extra vape gear away, that my friend let me know she was sending me some stuff.

Also, thanks y'all for the good vibes for my daughter. She passed her test and got her learners. Pray for the people of our town..lol. I'm going to stock up on nerve pills or something to be able to ride with her and not freak out.
