With the release of the subbox kit, Kanger has also changed the design of the heads. The newer heads come in 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 ohms, have a vertical coil (instead of horizontal), and appear to be much more difficult to take apart/rebuild. The older heads come in 0.5 and 1.2 ohms, have horizontal coils, and can be rebuilt more easily. As far as I know, both can be used in any variety of subtank interchangeably.
PS. Hi Nancy! (I missed your first post.

The subbox kit comes with a "new" subtank mini that has larger juice holes for the rba section. The airflow controller is the same as the "revised" airflow controller: the original had a single airflow slot, whereas the "revised" has two smaller airflow slots on either side. (I say "revised" because that style of airflow controller has been available for a couple of months.) Beyond that, the only difference between the mini you get with the kit and what you can currently buy separately is that the subbox subtank minis are colored vs. steel. Also, I've heard there is an "old" and "new" version of the subtank mini, something about the heads and airflow holes? Can anyone confirm? Thanks for the info.![]()

I also use the purple Efest 2500 mah 18650s with no problems. I have not heard about the 2800 mah version.I use the efest purple 2500mah for most of mine. I've seen they now have it in 2800mah - I might try those if I find some at a good price.
