ECC 2013 had exhibitors from all over the world. I was jazzed that Grand Vapor owner Gab Villapana attended the show all the way from the Philippines. In this interview, Gab talks about the Prometheus Genesis-style atomizer, the Trident 2 dripper, limited-edition Sentinels, and how he feels about China clones.

I was gonna post this today, you beat me to it!
Hope you are feeling better!

Hi, Tree People. Feeling crappy today. First time I've been genuinely sick since I started vaping, which is a bit of a miracle, considering that I used to get extremely ill several times every winter when I was a smoker. Pizza and Breaking Bad tonight. I will be doing zero cooking tonight. Nope. Nada. Not standing in the kitchen tonight. Not gonna happen.

On a lighter note, this is hilarious:
http://screen.yahoo.com/snl-ads-skits/e-....-090000708.html

Feel better, that's an order!

That SNL skit has been getting a lot of "buzz". Not bad, but I still prefer the "Blunies" skit from Funny or Die.

I only say that because the Blu e-cig commercials with Stephen Dorff were really annoying. An updated version to mock Jenny McCarthy's ad would be nice.

I havent seen that one, ill have to check it out on my break or after work!

Hundred Acre Wood
“A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease. Every hidden cell is throbbing with music and life, every fiber thrilling like harp strings, while incense is ever flowing from the balsam bells and leaves. No wonder the hills and groves were God's first temples, and the more they are cut down and hewn into cathedrals and churches, the farther off and dimmer seems the Lord himself.”

It was a day, and it was seized... by customs. :glare:

I ordered some batteries from FT on the 9th, for some strange reason I did not get a tracking number. I may never see them. I've had 2 orders made much more recently show up already. Out $10, no big deal... but still.:glare:

Also, I noticed that FT is selling certain accessories for guns that are completely illegal in USA. They are shaped just like e-cig mods, so if that doesn't make it harder on customs I can't imagine what would. Why they need to sell that kind of thing is beyond my imagination. They also look extremely dangerous due to a terrible design. Bad move all around. My days of ordering from them are coming to an end.

Pardon the rant, it was for your info... just trying to "help".

Probably shouldn't go into more detail... ECF rules, etc. You are correct in guessing the item, though.

As far as customs and shipping, it's the batteries that really slow things down AFAIK. I'm just glad I only ordered one pair by themselves. It may be best for all of us if we get our batteries domestically until things change. It may cost a little more, but at least they actually show up. For 18650 IMR's and hybrids, I'm very happy with the 2600 mAh Efest IMR'ss that Ray carries, they definitely last longer than the grey CGR18650CH Panasonics that everybody thinks are so great, and they have the same 10 amp rating. I do wonder how US vendors are going to replenish their stock of batteries, they all seem to come from China. This situation better not get any worse, "batteries not included" would really suck in this case.

i was about to order another efest IMR and a pair of pannys. should i just get the pannys (2 for the price of one!), i dont mind the wait if they actually show up!

the fogger2 makes me mad
From what I've seen so far, it would make me mad too. If you can get your Ithaka to work, you shouldn't be missing much, vape wise. I'd like to try the Russian 91% someday, but otherwise I'm sticking with items that already have a solid reputation.

Lots of folks use CGR18650CH batteries in a mech, they are rated for 10amp continuous. I have done that as well, but they have the shortest mAh life of any flat top battery I have, and I don't own anything with less than a 10amp continuous drain limit.
I haven't ordered anything from china yet... I'm a bit afraid of losing my money lol... for now I will stick to the us suppliers
That's probably best, although most of what we use does come from China. Ordering direct just cuts out the middleman, but leaves you little or no recourse if the items don't show up or show up broken. Keep in mind that you can get screwed by a US vendor as well, it happens. If you're patient, the classifieds can be very useful for finding just about everything but brand new batteries. Posting in the wanted section may be useful as well, although I haven't tried that yet. I did check the wanted section before posting the items I have sold, but that's about it. Like most purchases that are beyond your understanding, if you need help making the decision just ask around. This place is filled to the brim with opinions, many of them are helpful. Learning from the mistakes of others is one of my favorite life lessons.
