LD needs to check his mail when he gets home. ;)

I vary rarely use "plastic" tanks unless they are polypropylene. When I do, I only use the most benign flavors available. No fruits, just tobaccos, chocolates, and coffees. I don't know what's in "Homemade Sassafras ejuice", but I guess there was some kind oil in there or anise. Tasty or not, liquids that melt plastic kinda freak me out. YMMV

I totally sympathize Chapeltown. I try to always use Polypropylene tanks, but when I feel like a Clearo or a ViviNova, I use a juice that I'm certain is not a tank cracker.

Alright, Here is as good a place as any to tell my story!

This morning, I was bee bopping around the forum here, and I ran into the Ocelot's enlightening and informative presentation on "tank crackers and melters". And I thought to myself....."Wow. That sucks. Hope it never happens to me! Good thing I'm not into red hots or anything!"
Fast forward about six hours....
Not only did I lose one tank........I lost two! Within, like 10 minutes of each other! How?

Well, I have this little nifty cup thing that I found at TJ Maxx that I hold my e-cigs in. Well, my son in law and I. so I go into there to grab my ce4 that was holding my Homemade Sassafras ejuice. I had filled it up this morning and was very excited because it was yummy and a good first try. ........My tank was very melty inside, and I knew exactly what happened. So I chucked it in the outside trash. grrr.

So I go in, and try to get a replacement clearo when I notice that my son in law's tank looks exactly the same way. Aaaarrrrrgggghhh! Yesterday he had mixed some Mt. Baker Vapor Menthol with some Johnson Creek Tundra. It was apparently too much for the thing to handle.

the thing that sucks so much about it is the fact that his are Triton Tanks.....and more expensive and threaded differently than the eGo.

I just spent stupid money on vaping stuff, again.

That means I have to sell things, again.

If it weren't for the classies, I'd be screwed. That reminds me, if you ever need to sell something on the classies, make sure you have a tracking number. I've been waiting a week for something and I have no idea where it is. If it's a PIF then it doesn't matter, but for $0.90 the piece of mind is worth it.

I'm no fan of "government" in general, but the postal service is one of many that deserves appreciation for their relatively small fees. You try getting things from point "A" to point "B" cheaper. I don't trust UPS and FedEx to provide what individuals need nearly as cheap. JMO, :2c:, YMMV, etc.

Yes, I agree with the whole tracking number thing. Two weeks ago I gave away 100ml of juice in treasure chest pif to 9 different people. I got tracking numbers for all of them....even though...holy cow!!! I didn't realize it would cost me $30 to give something away for "free"! Lol;)

morning everyone :)
I had to make a trip to walmart last night :/ I am fairly certain they take 60% of the "People of Walmart" photos at the store I went to. Anyways, I picked up a few bottles of the Lorann's flavors there... I wasn't quite sure what percentage to use, so I did 5% cherry Lorann's and did 2% Desert Ship from Vaping Zone...
Does anyone here have any experience with the Lorann's flavorings? I got 2 drams of each flavor for about $2.50 a pack.

Good morning Tree People :)

Sassafras is a tree :)
Sassafras is also known as rootbeer.
Rootbeer is made from sassafras root bark.
Rootbeer is a known tank cracker.

I have to add that to my list!!!! I learned something new today! Two days in a row! I am on a roll people! Although....I had to look up Sarsaparilla....which I originally thought also came from Sassafras (would make sense, right?), but it actually comes from the Smilax regelii vine. Go figure.

Goooood Mornin Tree Peeps!

Co-ops have become my downfall... At least the prices are so good.
I'm really excited to try the new BDC tanks. The reviews are fantastic. I'll add my own in about a week or so. ;-)

Sassafrass-beer is Sassparilla. Mmmmm love me some sassparilla!
Root beer is made of sassafras, birtch and ginger extracts, in roughly that order. All good stuff! All likely tank-crackers...

Just make sure the Lorann's flavors you picked up are also for sale at DIY vape-shops. Not all flavors are vape-safe. There are many ingredients that are safe for ingestion (mfg suggested purpose) but not for inhalation. If it's not also being sold for vaping, Do Not Vape It!

I checked out a list of the flavorings with warnings about them after I got home with them last night. The 3 flavors I got were all fine for vaping. I was more trying to figure out recommended percentages etc... I know the super concentrates don't really need that much, but figured that the Lorann's might need a bit more. I was really looking for more of a starting point.

5% alone?
For new flavors I've begun testing at multiple percentages (8%, 10%, 15%), 4ml batches at 0 nic. Saves time... (Super-concentrates at 2% & 3%)
If you like strong flavors, 5% may leave you wanting. Every flavor is different... "YMMV"Schnarph. ;-)

Note: I am not an accomplished DIYer...

Lorrann's aren't particularly potent. I'd start at 5% and go from there. With VZ, I'd start at 1%. It really depends on if you are going to use it as a primary flavor or as a supplemental flavor. Before you can make those decisions, you need to know what it does at 5% AND what it does at !)% or 15% if you want to use it as a primary... This is for Lorranns, NOT VZ!

Another convenient thing in 10% and 15% flavor trials, is that they are easy to cut down with a nic-less mix if too strong... I have a bottle of 50-50 for just that purpose...
