Some buddies and I have decided to go in on a lab rig. We're sick of paying ......ed high prices for juice. Hoping to put our culinary talents to good use.

Between us, we've done a lot of research on flavorings and sources for pg/vg nic base, etc. What I would like to know is what glassware you all have found useful for mixing juice.

Small beakers in 10-100 mils
pipettes and accompanying accoutrements
Stir rods
Some graduated cylinders
That's what I was thinking would get us started. We have a 5 stage RO/DI from spectrapure as well.

Also, would a hot plate mixer be useful?

Anyway, please chime in and let me know what you have found useful, and wether there were things you bought that you never used.
Thanks!

3 and 1ml pipettes. Bottles. Small funnel. Graduated cylinder of some sort. That's about all I use. I find that stirring by hand in a beaker just doesn't cut it. It doesn't give enough agitation or aeration. You are better off just shaking it in something. If you are planning on making very large batches though, I bet a magnetic mixing hot plate would be cool. I just don't make large enough amounts to make one feasible.

Been doing DIY for 3 years. I use 1 ml, 3 ml and 5 ml syringes with blunt 14 and 16 guage needles. 30 ml and 50 ml beakers. Those things pretty much take care of all my needs. Yep, I prefer simple as possible :)

I pre-mix my pg and vg and nic (if I'm using it) base in 120 ml bottles and then transfer the appropriate amount of base to most often 10 or 30 ml bottles to be mixed with flavorings when making juice.

Yeah imo syringes > pipettes. You can get permanent glass syringes here

NTT - Glass Syringes

1ml, 5ml, 10ml is pretty much all you need imo. Anything above that should be in beaker form. You need needles too obviously. If you're trying to maintain a sense of permanence, you could also spend the money to get yourself a good amount of 15mL and 30mL bottles. Mix 5 or 10mL sample batches in the 15mL bottles, and fill up the 30mL bottles with finishes recipes that you know you like. Wash out the failures and repeat. Glass is pretty good at letting go of flavors/scents, so washing them out for reuse shouldn't be too difficult.

Clear Boston Round Glass Bottles - Specialty Bottle

Besides the bottles and syringes, theres not much else you really need. Being able to accurately measure out your recipes with syringes and having the bottles to do it in are the most fundamental aspects of DIY imo.
