mM.....The only factor that comes into play for me is cost. I can get the Tennergy LiFeP04 3v's for a little over $3 each in a bulk order from BJ........At $7 or 8 bucks a pop for the AW's I would have to settle for fewer. I will have to weigh out the difference in use.

It will be interesting to hear what you think after trying both. I've been meaning to replicate the scenario myself since I do have some 3V batts, but that charger is on the lam right now and unearthing it hasn't made it very high on my list yet! But I will definitely do so soon. My 3 volters aren't getting much use anymore since I got them for a 6V mod but am not doing 6V lately, so putting them on 5V GLV duty instead, maybe at home when batt life doesn't matter as much, would be very useful!

Oh and btw, doots -- I agree, that white GLV is slick!

miss MiA.....I will post my comparitive thoughts on both after trying the AW's out. I am considering ordering the 6v cap for the GLV-2...my other 6v mod is on the fritz...and it would be much cheaper than buying another mod. I generally only use 801 attys with 6v...510's run too hot and taste like crap..LOL!

Edit: Good lord.......Just checked my tracking and there is a good possibility that I may have my GLV-2 today!! For once I'm glad I live in MI!!!!

Yes ..I go to the etcher tomorrow with the rest, and shipping will start Friday. It had to be broke up into 2 rounds because the shop didn't have them all ready at the same time.

LOL.. funny you say that.. i was thinking about picking up a bottle of Niquil on the way home...

i stay far far away from anyting containing psuedoephedrine (you know they make you show your id and sign your name to a registry to buy that stuff in GA and SC.. scary...)

I hope these have not been asked a million times but I just don't have time to read thru 22 pages of posts and multiple threads. I have searched but have not found precise answers. These all pertain to the GLV2 5V model.

- The images (post 2 of this thread and on your web site), are they actual photographs or computer generated images? They look like the latter. I am just trying to get a clear idea about actual stock colors.

- For custom color powder coating, you posted a link to Powder By The Pound site and mentioned "If you find a powder you like, and want to buy the powder..." Does this mean we give you a link to the powder choice and you do the rest (we pay the additional charge to you - I realize this varies depending on powder choice) or are you saying we purchase the powder and we ship that powder to you?
- For such an order, can you give an approximate lead time between order and shipping final device to us?
- Can you give us an approximate lead time to ship an order placed now for a stock color?

Lastly, I apologize as there have been many posts about batts:
- earlier in this thread, you posted "You really need the cr123 3.6v batteries to get the full experience...I use the AW batteries now" I have some AW 16340 3.7 batts, will the 3.7s work in the 5V unit or is that too much for the resister?
- When you do you anticipate having the exact AW model (best for the 5V device) batts in stock?

Congratulations on developing a device with such obvious user enthusiasm. I am eager to get one but am clearly left with these unanswered questions.

the 3.7 aws work fine. I have used them for 6+ months in mine.
