That's bad news and has to be a more little depressing. Any chance the batteries are just plain worn out? Have you tried another set?

This is just a thought: try loosening the end-cap a little. While holding the button down, just twist it counter-clockwise with an atty or carto attached and see if it eventually starts to fire.

Let us know if that works or if you're gonna have to send it back to Jay.

(at least you have the PT to tide you over)

yeah Brutus I was using adapters. My GLV that was made for me...well, that's the one I lost. But I loved the loaner I was using so much that I bought it from her too. Her regular 510 connection didn't work when I got it and I've been using adapters since I got it. I'm scared to try alterating it myself but I'm gonna see if Jay can walk me through it!

Figures it quits working.....then I get 5 new sets of batteries today!

Have you tried the 5v head-cap on your Mini... just to make sure it is the head?

I had not but that was an interesting experiment! I put the 5v head on the mini and got just the tiniest wisp of vapor...really strange. Put the mini head back on and tried the same atty, tons of vapor.

I can't be sure but I think this is a GLV~1 headcap....is there a way to tell the difference? What IS the difference?

The GLV-2 head-cap is a "one piece" with very smooth geometry where the atty/carto connects. The original GLV looks more like a samller tube welded onto the larger tube, if that makes sense.

ETA:
If you go to the Great Lakes Vapor site and scroll down the page, there's an image of the GLV-2 right under "How to Make an Electronic Cigarette (The History of the GLV). Just below that, the original GLV is laid over the thumb of the Michigan background.

For anyone interested in a 5v or 6v, I just noticed the full size GLV-2s are no longer listed as "out of stock".

Just placed my order.

"Vape of the GLV-2"

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big vape they called "GLV-2"
The habit, it is said, never gives up her dead
when the cravings of nicotine turn gloomy.
With a load of juice eighteen drops or more
than the GLV-2 weighed empty,
that good cartomizer was a bone to be chewed
when the cravings of nicotine came early.
