OK,Ive been smoke free for a year and today I should become an ECF Veteran.Ive decided I would like to buy myself a GLV.Its a huge amount of money for me to spend.I keep putting them in the cart and then changing my mind.
Do I get the mini 3.7 and I can use LR attys and cartos or do I get the 5v?
Ive only tried 3.7 and 6v so far and one seems a bit weak while the other seems to hot and burnt tasting.I almost fried my lips at 6v.

So Im a wreck,Its alot of money for me and I have to make the right choice here.
Help me decide what to do.If you own one tell me about it.I just need some advice.

Having come from 3.7v using LR to 5v...the lower voltage doesn't feel the same. It just isn't as satisfying. Right now, I have my GLV2 5v with me in the Philippines, but no standard atties to run on it. Using the LR's on my Silver Bullet is just fine, but it's not quite the same.

5v still gives you great taste, gives you more vapor, and packs the perfect amount of punch...for me at least. It's hard to go back down. But then again, this is my preference. The problem is that you won't really know until you try it! I would suggest to go for the 5v. You might be able to trade it to get down to the GLV mini or another nice 3.7v mod if 5v isn't for you.

Another thing people don't think about...standard atties are still (generally speaking) cheaper than LR's. I think the LR's are finally getting to be durable enough that they last as long, but they are still more expensive as a rule of thumb. So, if you end up liking 5v, you'll slowly see a return on the investment in the device by saving money on atties.

Just my thoughts! Good luck with your desicion!

I tired the LR attys on a 3.7V Chuck and I couldn't stand it. Choked the heck out of me. If I can ever find them they will be in the PIF thread. I have been happy with the 3.7V until now. I was recently gifted a Nuck fistpack that has 4 different voltage setting. I have been switching between the 4.93V setting and the 5.13v setting. OMG, I love this thing! Liquids that previously had no real flavor for me are awesome now. It's like I have a whole new stash! I have not used my Chuck at all since I got this thing...and I LOVE my Chuck! I think the real 5v is the "sweet spot" for me. Chuck may have to go into early retirement, lol

I have both the mini and the GLV-2 and all I know is the Nebulinator (nebula green) works great and seems very durable. He IS having a sale on the minis also and I'd recommend getting it also, 3.7V on an LR is danged good, the 5V GLV-2 on standard attys just awesome, it all matters what you're doing. I have tried tv and ms t's juices on both and they also are just better and more flavorful (the sweet spot?) on 5V BUT I do get nic rushes (I chain vape) so,to echo Basil, a lower nic level may be in order. I also think my cartos are better on the mini also.

On the whole, if you only get one, get the 5V, its great and keep the little chuck for when you feel like going a little easier

You should ask if you can get the dangerous one Mutt has!

My vote is for 5V also. I haven't tried the 3.7V with LR atty, but I just can't imagine that its the same. It is a lot of $$ to spend at once, but IMHO its totally worth it.

I research every big purchase I make like I'm getting paid to do it. I searched the forums, looked at EVERY mod available, checked all the youtube reviews, written reviews everything. I did this over the course of about 2 months. After all that data logging, I finally decided on the GLV 2, and I can honestly say, I KNOW I made the best decision. I LOVE this device.

I had to go back to a 3.7V device for a night after my last atty blew on my GLV. It..was..terrible! I can't imagine going back to 3.7V having found 5V. The vapor production(both quantity and quality) is better, the flavor is better, I don't have to take long drags, and it fires every single time I ask it to just the same as it did before right up until it dies. I'm a heavy vapor(I think), as this thing is constantly in my hand, and my protected AW batteries(that Jay included in the full kit) last me just about 2 days.

In conclusion, the GLV2 is a winner all around. It is extremely well built, both in looks and design as well as durability. I've dropped mine a few times and its still flawless. The custom color options are nice, plus you can pick your own if you see something that Jay doesn't offer standard. I would give the Chuck the best for customization with graphics, but the GLV2 is an extremely close 2nd. The button has great feel. Vapor production is top notch, flavor is amazing(get a good one it tastes even better, but do be warned get a bad flavor and its stronger too!!!). Jay is a great vendor, and is super friendly and helpful.

You won't regret this purchase.

GLV2 5V:

Design: 10
Build quality: 10
Customization and looks: 9.9
Flavor: 10
Vapor production: 10
Durability: 10 (after 2 months of being my main PV, and being through some abuse)

You can PM if you ahve any questions.

Couldn't you just buy the extra top part for 3.7 ,and still use the same long body and same batteries on the glv? Order the 5 v one, and then get the extra 3 v head for $45.

The same headcap will work on the either body...but the problem would be finding a 3.7v battery that is the same length as 2 of the 16340's. I can't imagine an 18650 will fit...it's too fat!

The headcap for the 3.7v GLV is not resistored, so it will take whatever load you throw in it. If you used 2 of the 3.7v 16340's on it, I believe it will put out 7.4v.

You can always buy a batt spacer, that way you can use 1x 16340 for 3.7v vaping ;)
