My GLV doesn't "hold" the cartos anymore. They wont screw down tight, and when I get it to hold in place a slight bump causes them to fall out. Have tried several different Cartos across a few different orders. They used to screw down solid, so I'm assuming I've got a problem with the GLV side of the connector.

Anyone have a suggestion to a temp fix?? I'm going on vacation in a week, so sending it in for repair isn't an option unfortunately.

Thanks for your help/advice.

Jeremy

I think the OP has a different problem other than pin contact. Almost sounds like the treads have been stripped out the way I read it (pics or vid wld help). But I'd contact (better yet... phone), Jay and see if he has a viable suggestions other than sending it back for repair for the time being.

I had the same problem with stripped brass threads. I made do by inserting foil or on some of my cartos that had a double notch, prying the threads open with a flat blade or screwdriver. I couldn't possibly survive a day without my GLV so ordered a 2nd backup unit which I got yesterday and love the new pin adjustment feature! Jay, mine is on it's way back for thread replacement, pin upgrade and resistor replacement. It sounds bad but I've had mine since last July and it hasn't been out of arms reach since I got it!! I owned thousands of dollars worth of ecigs before this one and will never own anything else!

Just an FYI I am working on threads that will not wear out. Ill be testing different metal types to come up with a better brass fitting. The threads last along time but I want them to last a real long time. any time metal rubs against metal you will get wear. I want to make that wear happen to the atty first.
