GLV2 Setups

Hey Everybody,
Just ordered my GLV2 5v and Mini Yesterday (Much Thanks to GrimmGreen and The Wiz, for their reviews [Still need to watch several of the other video reviews], and Jaybird for the phone call.) (Also ordered a couple of Juices today from Vaporbomb, based on MuttSRT's recommendations)

Was just wondering what setup those that already have them are using?

I ordered the 901 setup as I have a couple dozen KR808D-1 Cartos that I would like to use up, but then I see a lot of people using the 510 Cartos, as well as dripping, but as I am just starting out, simple is better for me.

Which 510 Cartos work the best? And where is the best place to get them from? Or do many people use the KR808s?

HwyJ......Congrats on your GLV-2 purchase! You will enjoy it! I'm really not a fan of the KR808's....but some rave about them. The nice thing about the GLV is it's built for a 510 atty(for 901/808's it comes with an adapter). I really like the Boge 510 carto's myself....and regular 510 attys work great at 5v. I know that Clouds of Vapor and LitecigUSA both have the Boges and most likely the SLB 510's as well. Try some of each(they're cheap),and make your own decission.

808's for me as well. The GLV with an 808 carto filled with Vaporbomb Juice is just about as close as you can get to perfection.

I used the wrong Batts and fried my GLV2 5v!!Im so upset!!Please can someone post a link to the safest batts to use in my GLV.I keep reading posts but there are all kinds of batts discussed and Im very confused and upset.Please post a link and help me guys.I think Jays mad at me.

I ordered some 16340s from Dinodirect and I didnt look to see if they were protected or not.Its my fault.I feel like an idiot.I just didnt think about it.I just went by the numbers.

who makes the 16340s you ordered and were they 3.7v? or 3v ? 16340s come in 3v and 3.7v.

They were 3.7,they dont say who made them.Its my fault I didnt realize they were unprotected.Jay said that unprotected batts were the cause of the damage to the head.I feel so stupid.Ive only purchased 14500 batts before.You dont stack those so it didnt matter if they were protected or not.

One thing that I always use on the GLV is an atty adapter. I feel like it protects against juice getting down in the atty connector.
I cant see how unprotecdted could cause any damage to the GLV but I have never used them on the GLV. I use only AW's as they wrok the best and fit the best.

I had an adapter on it.I guess You have to be very careful which batts you choose.I will only use the same batts that I got from Jay from now on.Lesson learned!

I have 808 cartos (V4L Coolcarts), never tried the 510 cartos. What's the difference? I figured they would be the same if the resistance is the same, just different threading, no?

Not much as far as I can tell . I like atomizers VS cartos (most of the time ), but I think the 510 cartos are a little warmer.. but not by much IMO.

Thanks for the info everybody! I think I'm all set for starting out, except for the actual GLV-2. I have some V4L Coolcarts, and a few 510 Boge Cartos.
Now just thinking about getting a 510 Atty, but we will have to see how the cartos work for me, and once I get my GLV-2 I have to figure out some case that works well.

What does everyone use to carry around their daily supplies?
The only thing I have come across so far that looks to work well is the eGo case, but I don't know if the GLV-2 plus a few cartos + small juice bottle would fit until it comes.

i actually use a small camera case... the front zipper pocket holds my extra set of batts if i decide i might actually need them... and the big zipper pocket holds a carto, extra atty, and 4-5ml bottles of juice... my GLV2 is almost always in hand... and when its not.. i just throw it in my front jeans pocket...

My pocket seems to work fine for me. Then of course Ms. T's Bottle buddy works great for me too. love Ms. T wish she wasn't married. but then again so am I.

Those are not quite my style - but we all have different tastes. I'd bet the Buzz holster or Saber holster would fit the GLV. They clearly do show intent to carry something for GLV - just no products under that category yet. Those look to be mostly, if not all, leather and from double to quintuple the amounts of the cheapos I linked above - and understandably so!

Just thought I might post an inexpensive option.
