GLV2 With V4L Cool Carts?

Ordered a few different style V4L (along with other manufacturers carto's) ,and out of the 3 (premium,wow,coolcart) the cool cart doesn't seem to work on 5v. Working on 3.5 , and the WOW/Premium work on 3.5v/5v but not the darn cool carts.

My GLV2 came with a 510 connector so i am using a adapter piece to hook up the kr808's.

Any suggestion?

Also when i first recieved my GLV2 510 carto's would work fine. Than i managed to break a 510 carto off in the GLV and since can't use 510 carto's (which was 100% my fault). Pretty sure i was told to get another adapter and that should solve it (so use 2 adapters , first the one which lets me use my kr808 and than put one that converts that to 510 on top?)...

Thanks for any suggestions and I'll likely email V4L also about the Cool Carts not running. A shame because it was the favorite of the 3 on the 3.5v and was bummer when it wouldn't fire on my GLV

I got the GLV2 also and have been using it with V4L cartos. I got an addapter to do it to. Mine is the 5v regulated model. As far as answering your question about using your 510's after using and 808 addapter you have to make sure you are getting contact to the center post. Some of those addapters are a bit longer than normal 510 threads. To fix this you would need to remove the plastic button on the underside of the head cap, after removed you can use a small drill bitt (blunt end) to push up the center post alittle bit. BE GENTLE. Dont worry too much about pushing it up too far cause when you srew in your 510 atty it will push it back down to the right hight. You may want to stay with one atty or the addapter and not flop back and forth too much. You would need to repeat this step between each change. If you need a new insert you can allway send it back to jay and he will prob fix it. Hope that helps.

have you used the cool carts specifically?

the other v4l im having no issues with just the cool carts for some reason

Hi th. I have corrected the center connection problem by just adjusting the center of the adapter. You can turn it out with a small screwdriver. Sometimes that's enough.

Yup and some of my V4L cartos Ive had to pull the bottom center piece of the carto down a bit.Just the bottom center circle thing.Once it made contact they worked fine.

I also mostly use the Cool Carts, and I had a few that would not work, but after used a different adapter (actually the one from Jay) those same Cartos now work with both my GLV2 and the Mini.

i do not see one available on the glv site , any idea where i could get the same one?

Call Jay and ask him,I think it comes on a 901 GLV2.They are all 510 and Jay just adds an adapter if you want 801 or 901.

I use the cool carts on my 5v with no problems. Got an adapter from vaporsetc.com. It works great!
