OK I know this should go into a different area but as a noob I can't at the moment so apologies.

I have Glycerine BP which I am hoping someone can confirm is the correct VG to use.

Assuming it is the correct VG, can i add that to my pure PG 12mg juice to mute its nicotine level somewhat?

If the above is affirmative, can I just add the pure VG to the juice in my tank or must i dilute it first?

Thanks in advance!!

USP means United States Pharmacopia.
BP means British Pharmacopia.
IP means Indian Pharmacopia.
They are all the same just labelled differently for diff regions of the world. Best to mix it in a separate bottle outside the tank, shake and then add to tank.

Here's a free easy to use juice calculator:

Yes, it's OK, and yes, you can add it to your 100% PG eliquid to dilute the nicotine and to soften the harshness or pure PG. It will also help with vapor production. Check the viscosity (thickness) of your glycerine; if it's too thick, it won't work well. It should have similar viscosity to your PG eliquid. You can thin your glycerin with a drop or two (per ml) of distilled water.

OK Great! Thanks for the quick reply people. I mixed almost 40% distilled water with the VG because it was so thick almost like a hair gel. then added that 50/50 to my 100%PG juice.

Is adding that much distilled water an issue?

Generally we mix PG+ VG to obtain the right viscosity. Have never used distilled water but I've read it's a very small amount. Mixing PG with the VG would've thinned it out enough to not have to use distilled water. Distilled water is generally only used on 100% VG juice.
Standards in the industry are 70/ 30 or 80/ 20 PG/ VG.
Should have consulted here before mixing IMHO.

Thanks for the advice! Will note for future use.
In the meantime, it smokes fine with more vapor then the 100% PG I started with but the flavor (Green Apple) is much muted.
I guess my real question was is there any medical reason for not vaping distilled water? I can live with the trying diff ratios and all just want to be careful =) Cheers!

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%- could be higher or lower depending on the flavor used.
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like - many of us believe PG to be a throat irritant.
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

You find many of us buy our flavorless nic juice in a PG base as it's much easier/ thinner to work with. Vegetable Glycerin BP is easily and cheaply bought at the Pharmacy in the First Aid Section near the Isopropyl. PG BP is usually special order and is inexpensive at the Pharmacy. If questioned about it tell them either it's for making non allergenic soap or for your cigar humidor (keeps cigars moist). Kind of ironic we can use cigar tobacco humidor as an excuse to purchase vaping PG :D

I don't know of any reason for not vaping distilled water--it's just steam.

The recommended amount is usually 10-20% distilled water, no more. Decadent Vapours adds 17% water to their glycerine. All glycerine (VG) is diluted with water to make it vapeable.
