Just came over here to post the link as well. Yes, the world-is-a-changin', and quickly when it comes to e-cigs. Note the comments about the safety of e-cigs, and the desire by BT for the FDA to "HURRY UP!" with regulations so current smokers can switch / for the sake of the safety of current smokers. Gotta LOVE it.......Fascinating shift, really.

(This is a viable mobile link from Bloomberg HERE. This one may have a bit more info, and goes into Altria's smoking policy, and the urge by BT for regulation.)

Indeed it is. Not long ago I was a frequent visitor to the offices of Shook, Hardy & Bacon. The firm represented most of the Big tobacco companies in a host of cigarette related litigation. They occupy all 24 floors of a big office building in Kansas City. In all of their reception areas they had a variety of cigarettes in silver and glass containers along with some nice lighters for guests to use. When I was growing up this was common in many private residences and considered a sign of hospitality. Needless to say, the cigarettes and lighters have been removed from SH&B's offices. I wonder if they'll start providing their clients' cig-alikes.

At a tobacco conference earlier this month, Cameron urged the FDA to take faster action in regulating e-cigarettes, saying the lack of clear rules makes it harder for smokers to switch to the less-hazardous products. Lorillard Inc. (LO) CEO Murray Kessler, speaking at the same conference, said delays could jeopardize the huge potential health benefits from converting smokers to the newer technology, he said.

Translation we need our e cig model to become the regulated standard to protect market share and ultimately replace the tax dollars lost as smoking rates decline.

Everyone is going non smoking these days. Even in the Czech Republic- a land of smokers. Many restaurants and hotels have gone smoke free; not e-nic free, however...

I would like to believe that to be true but still rarely see a vaping out in the wild but still see lot's of smokers
