I was doing so well with my war against the E cig, than all of a sudden the vapor cuts out some, I thought it might be the atty so I cleaned it(hot water).

Than next thing I know the taste is gone, but theirs a full cart(poly fill). So I push some holes in the cart with a paper clip.

So I have a lower amount of vapor and a nasty taste.

Thoughts?

The taste can be caused by a few things. Make sure you don't vape a dry cart, you can melt the wick under the bridge of the atty giving you a burnt taste. Check to see if you have poly fibers from the cart stuck to your atty. Carefully remove them if you do they can give you a melting plastic taste. Check to make sure you align your cart so you don't melt the edge of the cart. Start there and if that doesn't help search the forums on how to properly clean an atty. It's more than a water rinse.

Good luck

That nasty taste was from a too dry atomizer. If you are a heavy vaper like me than you should try dripping directly on the atomizer. A filled cart cannot keep the atomizer wet enough if you take multiple hits one after the other. There is a spring mod but I personally will not use carts anymore. Just drip eliquid on the bridge of the atomizer and don't worry about flooding the atty. Try it out, you will learn how much liquid is needed to drip as time goes on.

IMO a dry burn on the 510 is asking for burned harsh vaping. The small fiber wicks under the bridge will scorch if you dry burn.

Any bad flavor in an e-cig is simply from not keeping enough liquid in the atomizer and on the bridge. When you refill a cartridge, you should also be placing a drop or two (I use one) on the bridge to insure that it is always plenty wet.

If you have already scorched the wicks, soak the atty in EverClear grain alcohol for 15 minutes, blow it out and shake down (like a thermometer) to quick dry it, add 5 drops of liquid to reprime the atty/fill the atomizer pot back up, let sit 5 minutes to soak it back up.... you should be ready to go again.

He didn't mention after washing the atty with water that he blew it out, let it dry, and primed it with juice before using it again.

If he didn't get all the water out, the juice won't wick and he'd end up with a dry steam burn after the water evaperated.

With a manual "dry burn" you'd deff see it glow red.

I'm wondering if somehow you accidentally pulled out the little wick in the atomizer. That might cause this issue. If you did, I don't think there is anything you can do to fix it.
i've pulled out the white fibers before in the atty, I don't know what the whick is tho

I've been vaping on it for an hour or two(playing the new call of duty modern war far 2 :)) and I opened the cart and its full of juice.

Ugh time to order attys

On most 510 attys there is a wick(fiber string) under the bridge of the atty. If you drip only you should remove that wick. If you are going to use filled carts then the wick should not be removed. The bridge material on a 510 atty is so small that they put that wick in to help with the transfer of liquid to the coil. MY Npro bridge has 3 times the surface area of a 510 hence the Npro has no fiber wick under the bridge.
