Going back to protanks from dripping...

I got an IGO-L to see what all the fuss was about with drippers, and as it turns out, I don't like it. Re-wicked with cotton, etc, but just don't like it.

My PT2 delivered no flavor, so I put an Aro head in it (for the Smoktech Aro Pyrex tank... they say it doesn't fit Kangers but it does work in PT2s and the Aro had so much more flavor). And the PT2 quickly became my favorite device. Re-wicked with cotton, and it's even better. Lots of flavor and vapor.

I have revisited dripping 4 or 5 times thinking I must have been in a mood, but I really don't see the appeal. It has no more flavor than the PT2 [with the Aro head], and it's a PITA. I am constantly thinking, "How many hits did I take already...?" and "I don't know, I lost count, so I have to ask myself.... do I feel lucky?" (or am I going to torch my cotton wick!!).

Luckily for the vaping world, we got all kinds of gear for all kinds of tastes.

perhaps you should try a small chambered dripper, around 1ohm on a mech. if you don't like them then you are definitely doing something wrong.

I actually got out the IGO-L again tonight (after vaping on my pyrex Aro tanks, which I also like). It's not that it's a bad vape, it's that I don't like having to remember I need to drip constantly to avoid burning my cotton wick. (Like tonight I had to replace it once.) And the flavor, while great, is not markedly better than my PT2 with the Smoktech Aro head and cotton. But for people who are using the Kanger head in the PT2, I can see why they would give it up. When I got my PT2 I was so disappointed that I could not taste any of my juices except my Captain Black NET. None of the fruit juices came though. (I vape near 100% VG and DIY my juices.) Then I got an Aro tank and the flavor was GREAT! And happily, the Aro heads work in the PT2. So I am not being flip when I say, that in my experience, my PT2 tastes as good as the IGO-L or very nearly as good. (Maybe the IGO-L has a slight edge but I'd have to use it a few more times to be sure.) But the dripper will still come in handy for trying new DIY juices.

I know, I could squonk. BUT, I'm not really a big fan of the box mods. Can't get past the, well, boxyness of them.

I've got the aurora and it is the device that prompted my reo purchase. I'm waiting for that to come in. I also recently got a couple poly Aros. Never tried an EVOD but I really liked the Aros. I might be tempted to sell off my protank and pt2 and just get a few more Pyrex Aros to use as alternatives to my reo, once it arrives. I tried carto tanks, but with 100%vg juices, I just haven't been able to find the sweet spot as far as hole #/diameter to make them wick properly. I did like the slotted Boges, but I like rebuilding coils more than I like the carto trial and error. Just my 2c.

The ARO may be the last in the line of clearos/pro tank like stuff I'll buy for at least a year.
Maybe by then they will come out with something that "works"... I'm drippin' now and it's so far ahead in taste and vapor, I'm not lookin' back and spendin' cash on junk..
I'm now in the market for an RBA, but there's a ton of them out there that only bests the other ones by a millimeter or so in performance, its a game I guess. I'll prolly pick up a Youde product or RSST for my first one and wait from there, a lot is happening in the hardware dept. these days.. Most of the game is finding the right coil and wick to work with the topper you have in hand, with a Mech. mod of course..

I can't drip 100% of the time. The flavor in the clearos is just lacking.

You can "drip" 100% of time if you get a bottom feeder.

You can buy bottom feeding atties from Cisco and other off the shelf atties if you don't want to mess w/RBA

Never could use clearos after vaping directly off atties with a nice bottom feeder. Pure flavor. REOs, Vmods, Bogger Box, etc.
