Hey guys im new here, and what a great forum. There's alot of good people here. Looking for some input from vet vapes out there. Im also new to vaping. Been doing my research so I can do this right the first time. With out this forum I probably would have bought an E9 as my first vapor from e-cigs. Thank god I want hasty. By friday I'll be holding an ego. Being new waiting for me ego to come in the mail I've been reading and researching. So finally, here's what I need input on. Eco vaping.

Reading the forums it appears most users are smoking 2-3ml a day with a 3.7v. A lot of variables but I will assume 80ml a month. Let's pick 15 bucks 30ml flavored for domestic retail. That comes to about 50 a month on liquid. Or...

I've found a domestic vender selling 500ml/100mg non flav for $140.00 wich I could dilute to 2000ml/25mg. That's a 2+ yr supply if I smoke around 80ml a month. All I have to buy liquid wise is flavor and a liter of VG to cut it. Even with some attys this seems doable all for under $400 bucks. VS above scenario of 50 a month equals $1200 in two years.

So what are your thoughts? Is this sound or am I being to ambitious.

Just don't buy more than an 18 month supply - juice does go bad after a couple years. So having more than that is pointless.

As far as whether you're being ambitious... well, keep in mind 100mg nic juice is EXTREMELY toxic. If you get enough on yourself, you're going to get very, very sick. It can kill children and pets. Dealing with it in such high quantities, unless you have a place that you set up for it (totally private, good ventilation, always use gloves, etc), you may want to think about dropping it back to 60mg. Still pretty high concentration... but a level of magnitude less dangerous.

Even with 60mg, you may want to consider using gloves and having a private area to work with it. But, I've heard of people simply touching the residue of 100mg, and feeling sick - it's really powerful stuff. That's probably not going to happen at 60mg.

If you do go with the 100mg... the first thing I'd do when I got it was immediately cut it down, and stow it at the diluted concentration.

I agree great care will be needed. 10 drops of contact and that's all she wrote. I would dilute it all at once. Pour the while 500 ml bottle into 1500ml of glycerine first thing. Good point.

Good plan. Get a big funnel, wear gloves, long sleeves, and probably a nose and mouth mask. Seriously, don't take any chances. Back-splash could be very bad news.

I have to agree with others on the 100mg being simply too strong in nic/smoke juice. My smoke juice/nic-juice is only 60mg in large bottle though at this moment I can't recall the exact size. I always wear gloves! I also wear safety glasses as a precaution but this is part due to the nicotine liquid being dangerous and the fact I'm legally blind with minimal light perception. It makes it difficult to see how I am mixing my liquids.

As a general rule, I purchase my flavored liquids from MFS and include the extra-flavoring/double flavoring in mostly non-tobacco flavors though I do have a few smaller bottles of tobacco flavors. I buy my e-liquids pre-mixed in lower milligrams then I transfer to a separate, larger bottle in order to add a bit more nicotine to the liquid.

I keep two bottles of e-liquids. One is marked with small felt letters (stick-on kind for the blind) in order to tell the difference btw bottles. The second bottle is one where I add the small felt letters and an additional bump dot (like a braille dot only I buy the bump dots a little larger b/c of the nerve damage in my hands and fingers. It's easier for me to feel the felt letters and bump dot. The bottle with the bump dot is the one where I've added a higher dose of nicotine/smoke juice. This bottle is one I use at the highest cravings of the day such as when I wake up, after meals, and before bed then there are times when I am under a lot of stress. I used to smoke more than I was stressed out; now I simply vape more when I'm stressed out and it works, esp with the higher nic doses in the e-liquid.

The liquids at MFS (My Freedom Smokes) is more than economical if you don't want or like the double/extra flavoring. If that's the case, you can actually add more smoke juice and PG/VG or a combination between the two to stretch the e-liquid to last longer. There are all kinds of ways to save money with e-cigs. I was spending approximately $300+/- each month on tobacco cigarettes (analogs). Today, I spend on avg approximately $30-40 a month, if even that b/c it includes the need for new atomizers, cartridges, and replacement syringes to fill the carts. There is also the cost of the polyfill I use to repack my cartridges with but the bag I have has made it through almost a year & it looks as if it's barely been touched. Thanks to the kindness of many suppliers, I receive some sample flavors with my order, which allows 2 things to happen: 1) I get extra e-liquid for use if I run short and 2) it gives me a chance to try out a new e-liquid. If I like it, and there have been only a limited few I haven't cared for over the last 1+yr, I will purchase a larger bottle to keep with my stock as I rotate out my flavored e-liquid. It's how I came to love Peach flavor, Sweet Apple, Coffee Flavor, Banana Cream, etc... I even like the Dr. Pepper flavor but for the life of me I can't bring myself to buy one of the meal-type liquids such as roast beef, chicken, etc... I'd love to try one but to buy it without tasting it, I don't think I could do it.

In addition to this process, it gives me material to use when working on my blogs and writing for various media outlets both online in the digital age as well as in book/newspaper format and even magazines (most are in large print, Braille, cassette, and/or digital format as the primary mags I write for are for the blind. E-cigs are the best thing since sliced bread for the blind. I'm not burning anything by accident; I don't lose my cigarette in the ashtray, no more small holes in my clothes from the small burning bits of tobacco & paper. The GREATEST change is the loss of the smoker's cough & not sounding like I have a box of Rice Krispy Cereal with a gallon of milk in my chest and lungs. I lost the cough & Snap, Crackle, & Pop within less than a month after I began vaping on July 7th, 2010! My doctor is ecstatic with the results & my DH has stopped his #$%%^ griping, & moaning over my smoking in the house since I switched to e-cigs. He's actually been supportive, which is out of character for him on this level. He's always there in a crunch and in times of life or death, or even illness but to be supportive of my switching e-cigs from analogs, I never thought I'd hear the end of it with regards to smoking but he can't smell the liquid unless he's very close to me. Otherwise, he doesn't notice it. My friends do though. They say my house smells like candies and fruits but that's likely because my favorites e-liquids are mostly fruits and candy flavors.

BTW: You do need to store your liquids in a cool, dry, dark place so they can last longer. I keep mine in a wine cabinet we've had for some time. It's cool but not cold and it has a dark glass on the door. It only holds about 3-5 wine/champagne bottles but I keep some space in there for my e-liquids and so far, they have kept fresh as the day I bought them. It's also prudent to not break the seal on a bottle of e-liquid until you are ready to use it. Oxygen is as dangerous at reducing flavors in e-liquids as it is to losing flavors of fine wines.

Hope this helps...
