Hi everyone, im sorry if there is already a thread about this but I cant seem to find the answer im looking for. Im using a private v2 mechanical mod from fasttech and a 5ml hypertank. I seem to be going through coils about every other day. I keep the tank pretty full with 5050 juice. It seems to always flood me after a day of use. Thanks for the help

When you say you're going through coils what do you mean? Are they burning out or are they giving a burnt taste? If they are burning out after 2 days your battery device is suspect or you should reduce the power you are using (greatly). If they are tasting burnt you need to clean and dry burn them. It's also possible you are getting dry hits which is a function of the wicking to the coil rather than the coil itself. In my experience you should not fully fill a tank, it will cause issues with wicking.

Hi!

Bottom coil Tanks work on Vacuum. They MUST remain tightly sealed to work properly.
HyperTank is simply one more variation on the Protank and uses the same wicking design.

Leaking comes from one of two things - Air Leak or High Venturi vacuum
Air leak is a constant leaks in use and while just sitting
Vacuum leak is caused be very hard draws pulling excess liquid from tank into center tube.(some moisture will always be present - condensate)
Check all gaskets(o-rings) for deformation and placement. This includes the Chimney soft cap which seals the center pipe.
Make sure all parts are secure .
Remember, air in = liquid out

None of your working coils are bad(IF) they worked to start with. they will become dirty and need proper cleaning or replacement but they do not normally physically change. Accumulated e-liquids can be soaked off or Dry burned away and coils reused.

Constant Topping is actually counter productive - each opening of the tank looses vacuum and e-liquid is allowed to fall until reestablished.
Blowing through the Drip tip to clear the center pipe is also counter productive and can in fact Empty a tank.
If clearing is needed, remove from battery wipe connection end. place top down in a tissue and blow lightly to push liquid out the drip tip end. Clear tip with a cotton q-tip.

Flooding with a tank like this means there's either not enough airflow or not enough wicking material to keep the juice flow stable.
Tanks like your hypertank work by drawing juice into the wicks as you suck on it, then vaporizing the liquid as you use it. It shouldn't draw juice in just by itself unless it's sitting in your pocket all the time.
Replacing the coil should only be done if it's worn out and gunked up with vapor leftovers.
I'd say get yourself a different tank (like a protank 2) and be done with it.

Well that is not quite right. You would need to explain further.
Tank air flow? increasing that would flood further.
Tube air flow? If vaccuum increased through increased air flow through the tube it would also draw more e-liquid.

I have dozens of BCC tanks and Vape them dry quite often. Just fully emptied a T3.
I also let many sit for days as the flavors are nice, but rich and enjoyed in small portions.
They never give me leaking problems. I did have a T3-mini dump all the e-liquid a few weeks ago. Mod had fallen from a counter the day before. Turned out the tank developed a tiny crack at the base.
Air in = liquid out
