I started vaping last year and stopped smoking analogs the day I received my e cig stuff. I had a bunch of different things including plastic bolt, lava tube, VV gripper, cartos, atomizers, vivi novas....ect.

A couple months in and I couldnt stand to vape any flavors. They all tasted bad, and burnt. I rebuilt my nova's, bought new cartos, and tried more flavors. I couldnt stand to vape anything more than a couple hours.

On top of that, I was always tired. I could not wake up in the morning and I dragged along all day. I dont know if it was a lack of crap from not smoking or if I was having a reaction to the juices.

So I sold everything and started smoking again, a week later I was back to normal....wake up at 6 every morning and go to bed at midnight every night, Wake up beofre the alarm and have no problems. Well I am sick of smoking so I want to start vaping again.

I am thinking if I get some mellow juices and a bottle of non flavored, it might be better. Also I am going to play with different %'s

So my question is: where is the best place to get some gear? I am thinking of going with a eGo VV that will last all day or close to it and a EVOD to try the bottom coil. I need to keep it as low cost as I can but still get good equipment.

I do not want to spend to money right now to go with mods so I am thinking an eGo is the way to go.

Hey Trapper! Welcome back! I think that myvaporstore.com has a great ego twist starter set. Sorry I've never been able to get the links down. Hang in there! When I started I was tired for the first month or so. I always felt sleepy & tired but it passed after a little time. I'm pretty sure it was from cutting out the cigs because normally I'm not like that at all. It really did suck! We're here if you need help my friend!

That's a good starter.

As for the other stuff you mentioned, it sounds like you got vaper's tongue (can't taste juice at all or, it all tastes the same) That's pretty common, especially early on and, it does go away in a few days to a week. Staying well hydrated helps minimize it as does changing flavors fairly often (for me at least two flavors per day.)

Lack of energy might be from quitting with slightly too low a nic in the juice - it is a stimulant. Could also be that you cut down on caffeine in favor of more water - good but it has that effect. Could have been just a coincidence that something not vaping related caused it.

Vaping can make not smoking very easy but, I think, for that to happen, you have to have the gear, nic level and flavors all right for you and, that can take some time to work out.

Give it a go, don't beat yourself up if you need a few analogs for a while, just keep looking for the right things for you to vape and be satisfied and, you will get there.

Sorry to hear its been so rough for you. I haven't been though that but I noticed my first few weeks I felt like crap and was so irritable I was ready bite off everybody's head off (though working in a call center that comes with the territory).

I highly recommend playing around with different stuff, I myself and doing the same things to keep things fresh so I don't get burned out on vaping. Best of luck to you.

Thats the thing, I thought I had everything good.
I had 24mg nic juices I always had 2 mods with different flavors and I never even wanted a cig. I tasted the flavors just fine, they just tasted gross most would taste burn or perfume like. I steeped everything and as far as I know, did everything right.

I have found that just trying to figure out what was burning the juice solved a lot of the bad taste. Some was resolved by getting VV/VW regulated batteries and not burning the juice. Another was getting RBA"S/RDA's that I could rebuild and easily clean. A build up on coils and wick will taste terrible.
Also right now I am just wanting to use semi bland juices and found Desert Ship by MyFreedomSmokes is excellent for mild tasting but with TH. I'll get back to my other flavored tobaccos in time, but right now this is all I vape. I am not a watermellon or super duper fruity flavors type vapor.
I understand some people have reactions to PG so you may want to try all VG juice.
I use 18mg juice. It works fine for me and I smoked for 53 years. I've tried stronger, and felt like cr@p.

The taste thing sounds like vapers tongue. We've all been through it, it does pass. As far as being tired at first, you have to remember that nic isn't the only addiction with cigarettes. They're also loaded with MAOIs (a class of anti-depressant) and for some of us the transition has to be more of a process. If you still need to smoke occasionally, don't beat yourself up over it just think about all the cigs you didn't smoke. Personally, it took a year of vaping before I could give up the analogs entirely

Well I got the Madvapes majestic ARO kit with some juices.

Been vaping for a couple days and having a cig in the morning, night and 1 in the afternoon.

Today I noticed I was tired and felt kinda weird all day, so I am not going to vape all day tomorrow and see how that goes. If I feel better Then start vaping and feel like crap I know I have to try something else.

I am going to order some juice that 100%vg, 100% pg, 0% nic and I dont know what else to try. I just want to vape and not get all funky.

Will my ARO bottom coils work with the 100% juices?

Got to back off the coffee a bit. I had to dump my evening tea.

Consider more nicotine in the morning, and less in the evening.

Stay off the analogs for two weeks, and you're golden.

Keep vaping 0 nic afterwards, if you need.

I went with Halo Triton (Kanger T2) and they have been very reliable. Cheap, proven design, and the atomizer is replaceable. I rotate through 3 tanks during the day (I'm going to add more soon, for some variety).
