This is a cosmetic mod that, I believe, Chopper did quite awhile ago, like at least a year. It has had something done to it, but with the lighting I'm not sure exactly what. I'll post more if I remember where I got the picture.

ETA: Here's an old thread:

ETAA: I went back through my bookmarks and that is a copper coated/plated/whatever ProVari by Chopper. I wish the lighting was better.

There's brass - here and here...

Out of interest does anyone know how these kind of customisations affect the warranty, if at all? I love that brass cingulum compleo look.

Thank you! :) I assume you're asking about the customization of dipping them... because the cingulum beauty ring sits on top of the original top cap and the bottom one just replaces the stock end cap so they don't affect the warranty at all.

Even if you get it plated I would imagine the warranty would stand, but I'd shoot them an email to be absolutely sure first. The finish is only covered for 24 hours after receipt & everything inside has to be removed for the plating process, so I don't see why they wouldn't cover a bad board/chip just because you had it plated. But like I said, that's only an assumption & the only way to know for 100% sure is to contact them about it. I'd imagine having it plated professionally by a specialist & informing them so would make a difference as well.

Since we're speculating... I on the other hand don't see ProVape letting anyone but them remove the internals and still cover them under warranty. Too many variables that are out of their control to do so, not a good business practice for them to do.

Speculation aside, like you said, a call to them is all it takes to be sure.

Excellent point, indeed.

Edit: I think the most important point would to be completely upfront with them when you contact them. I know some companies usually try to screw their customers over so many people will hint at things or be vague in general, but ProVape is really honest & wants to help you out.
