I guess it kind of does look like a ProVari...if you squint, close one eye, turn your head sideways, back away from the computer monitor, and have a vivid imagination.

Yep, Tatroe base for sure.

I wouldn't assume just because v1 could be upgraded to v2 that the same will be true for v3. What happens if v3 has 3 buttons and a bigger display? But I bet if it's physically possible you'll be able to.

The display used in V1 and V2 ProVari's was chosen, not for cost or looks, but for it's reliability. The single button was chosen for it's durability. I remember reading somewhere that it is rated for 100,000 presses. If they do choose to go with a bigger display and more buttons, I'll buy one, but I would be really surprised if they did.

If it is not compatible with V1 or V2 ProVari's, it will most likely be because the circuit board has been made bigger/longer to accommodate variable wattage. In that case, what will end up happening is a new size of end cap (for V1/V2) will be produced to accommodate the extra length. But this is all supposition. I don't expect to see a VW ProVari before 2016-2017.

Wow ain't that the truth. ProVari men= horn dogs. And I'm not referring to horns like on a deer...just say'in. They have a ton of chick pics and I had to witness it all on another thread

I cannot speak for all of the ProVari men, but I can see why that might be said.

However, AngiBe, I think it has been well established that you were the catalyst of that chain of photos...

Provari chick pics? Wow, that is truly inexcusable.

Do you have any links (so that I can w̶i̶t̶n̶e̶s̶s̶ condemn these, um, sexist and insensitive images myself)?

With out going into all the drama associated with the Provari. If you want one and can afford one then get one. You won't regret it. As for upgrades. I wish they would have stayed with the V2 design instead of going with the V2.5. I like my first ones better. I've got 6 now. The last was a bronze that hasn't even had a battery put in it. I still like a lot of my other mods just as much.
(Reo, P+, Legacy's, Saber Touch, Silver Bullet.). It's all up to the person that is pressing the button to fire the mod.
GET WITH IT FLAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ProVari is almost the one mod that you don't need a backup for a backup for...yet you all seem to have 6 of them.
I have one ProVari. I firmly believe in having backups for my backups, which is why I have four batteries for said ProVari. I have no other mods at this time. :D

It's time for me to get another. I'm tired of switching toppers.

Hey! I only have 5. (Although if I had nabbed that damn bronze mini the other day it would be 6. Grrr.)

And 4 of my 5 aren't "backups" - they are all family members of equal status. :D
