lol...sorry...when you've been doing ren faires, SCA, and alternative lifestyle stuff for as long.. theres a general distrust and suspicion of wiggle happy females....it's generally a sign that they either want something or they're about to try something and are therefore trying to distract you with said wiggle

Wow, that kinda sucks. I'm jaded, but I don't automatically assume bouncily happy girls have something up their sleeve. Maybe that's because my primary partner unreservedly embraces her inner 8 year old. I get the whole over the top excitement gig on a regular basis.

LOL Drozd, just help me and my partner find a place to stay if we head out that way looking for work and it's all good.
And I love my inner 8 year old personally. If it weren't for that little mischief causing, not a care in the world, nonsensical little s.o.b. inside me I'd probably crack and end up as a headline. I just automatically assume almost everyone has something up their sleeve, male or female, unless I get to know them. Must say something about the company I used to keep.

lol...yeah I'm a little more jaded...like I said...I'm used to the bounce and wiggle ploy when it comes at me in trying to obtain a discount on a corset or jewelry or some other um "toy"...or try to employ it in a hey "help" make me some armor...or a couple females in our local group uses it on the fighting field...(so once the bounce and wiggle results in you getting jacked in the head with a stick a couple times, it certainly takes the shine off)
My fiance/subbie not so into the inner child thing...so generally it comes across as some ploy...

Anyway...I'm looking forward to these turbos being back in stock hopefully soon...I gotta get my hands on some for a 6V mod and see how they work with the drip tips I'm using...the talk of more batting in them has me concerned a bit that the tips won't fit on em

...WOW Belle, talk about 'sciencey'... I had no IDEA so many of our very own were members of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists!! (And that so much leather and corset-ing tends to be involved in that!!) I feel downright proud!

Ha ha just kidding! I know they meant the Student Conservation Association...

Or is it the Society for California Archaeology...

Or School Construction Authority...

Society of Core Analysts...

Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget...

No no I've got it -- it's Sexual Compulsives Anonymous!! :D

:)oops: Hehe it's true, I for one did need to look up 'SCA'/Society for Creative Anachronism... ding ding ding, yes? Indeed sounds very interesting! But *sigh,* just call me miss vanilla as of now I guess :p)

Lol for all intents and purposes these two could almost be considered the same....
But yes was refering to the Society of Creative Anachronism...just an all round good time..
For roughly around $25 for the entire family for a weekend we can go camping, dress in funny clothes and do all sorts of things and learn all sorts of things...
fencing, swordfighting, archery, equestrian stuff, lampworking, glassblowing, blacksmithing, calligraphy, illumination, brewing and vintning, stained glass etc..

That really does sound fun as all git out. Magnified exponentially by my get-tired-of-the-concrete-jungle-sometimes thang!! ('Ren faires' from what little I've seen do too... you know, like the free credit report commercial dudes. Hehe j/k! But I admit there is something about those green tights and boots on that one guy... ;).)

blackberry chai? i thought mead was a manly man kind of thing. don't get me wrong, i love chai, but that sounds like the 'smirnoff ice' of mead flavors.

Lol, mead is basically just wine that uses honey instead of the sugar in the grapes for fermentation...and there really are sub categories as far as how it's flavored spices, versus fruit... this is both...blackberries and chai for flavoring....

as for it sounding like the smirnoff ice of mead flavors....lol... well that's kinda the point... you girls have your "happywiggle"... I prefer to employ tasty beverages and liquors...

tasty meads and ice brandies...
or there's the oranges that have been injected with grand mariner and left to percolate before being peeled and half dipped in chocolate....

or my personal favorite... the cheesecake that has godiva liquor marinated strawberries marbled through.. then dipped in a chocolate/godiva liquor mix and frozen....

Mead has nothing to do with grapes. Nothing. Honey is to mead as grapes are to wine.

The flavors are highly variable even before you add anything extra to it. The taste is highly contingent upon what sort of nectar the bees have been harvesting to make their honey with. You can truly taste the difference between batches of mead made with honey from hives in different areas.

Mead is the nectar of the gods. I've toyed with the idea of making my own, but haven't worked up quite enough motivation yet.

Elorin and I do make our own cordials. You cook up some simple syrup, put a bit in a bottle packed with the fruit of your choice and then fill the empty space with Vodka. Shake it every few days for a month or two, then strain out the liquid. It's deceptively intoxicating, doesn't taste anything like as strong as it really is.

I do this every summer & fall too--along with making jellies and jams. I like using brandy rather than vodka for some of the stuff, and I usually do a few unsweetened fruit extractions in brandy or vodka too. I can't really do liqueurs, the sugar makes me sick if I drink too much. I'm more of a whisky girl. (But I do have a secret love of Kahlua, I just have to restrain myself... so I only make one coffee liqueur like, a year. lol)

Idk about grand marnier and oranges, but cut hole in a watermelon and pour half a jar of moonshine in and throw it in the fridge for a few hours... that's refreshing.

I'm classy like that.

and you wonder why the girls get all giggly-wiggly?

lol....no wonder at all...
I run a stand selling leather corsets and other personal leather and exotic hardwood "toys"... unter the name "Toys for Tarts"...
in providing a comforable and decadent setting... I depend on them getting giggly-wiggly to help deflect the sting they're going to impose on their man's wallet when they run up a bill shopping with me...:D

And well it just plain amuses me when I can take them away or tell them no and giggly-wiggly turns into pout
