Alright everyone, I am a long time reader first time poster. I'm looking for a little help finding the right e-cig. I want to do it right the first time or at least be satisfied for quite sometime. I'm looking more for convenience. I want something small and compact, which I will be able to carry around outside of the house.

To me e-cigs are kind of like sex with a condom. It's still fun going through the motions. You can trick your mind into thinking it's the real thing and it's much safer, but it can't be as good as the real thing.

I have been a casual smoker all my life. I peeked at no more than a pack a day in my college years. Now I am a very casual smoker trying to kick this once and for all. I probably only smoke about 6 to 7 analogs per day and these are Menthol Lights. The hardest thing I have found out in trying to quit is the mechanical aspect. I find myself at work numerous times holding a pen like a cig w/o realizing it. This is why gum and patches wouldn't work. It doesn't let me "go through the motions" with gum and patches.

I'm really only looking for the best 2-piece e-cig. I am looking more for ease of use over power of vape. Maybe in the future I will switch, but for now just looking for something to get me through the day maybe 10-15 hits per day.

I was leaning towards the GreenSmoke e-cig, but price has prevented me from pulling the trigger. Also, I like the Blu because of its size, but it is a 3-piece.

Any suggestions about a good 2-piece? Is GreenSmoke the way to go?

Remember:
Battery life not a concern, I would prefer autobat to the push button
Convenience is major
Want the size of a cig
Prefer 2-piece (i really don’t want to mess with dripping yet)

Thanks for the quick reply.

I went to vaporkings website but they are out of stock, if they were in stock I would not be asking this next question.

on V4L I really don't know which one is the KR808D-1
it has the ulitmate kit, manual kit, shorty kit
but I don't know which one the KR808D-1 is

I went to the V4L website (Vapor4Life:: Because it's your life :: Electronic Cigarettes & Alternatives to Smoking) and it shows them being "in stock" for the shorty battery and cartomizers. Were you at the right site?

Clarky, welcome to the forum.

I agree with other posters, KR808D-1 seems like what you'll want to go with.

I would maybe go with 18 mg, that's what I use.
I smoked a bit more than you during the week (work) but less on the weekends, except for those late nights with cold beverages.

In contrast to your post, I would also get a manual battery. I had all autos and wasn't as happy with the performance. As I'm learning with this model, auto batteries fail A LOT quicker than manuals if and when you overfill the carts...trust me this will happen as you learn the nuances of your new PV.

the KR808D-1 is the generic name for the 2 piece model.. V4L calls it a vapor king (different than whats at vapor kings (actually same model- KR808D-1) or some other model some other company is calling a vapor king) but it's a KR808D-1...and they're just different lengths of batteries..but all the KR808D-1 ..so short answer "shorty" kit...

Longer answer there are at least 3 vapor kings out there now..
Vaporkings which carries the KR808D-1 but other models too..
Vapor4Life that right now just sells the KR808D-1 but calls it a Vapor King
and just saw last night some other company calling some completely different model a vapor king..
since you want smaller/shorter though the shorty kit at V4L is really your only answer

LeCig, E Cigarette, Ecigarettes, Electronic Cigarette, E Cigs has the kr8-d1 which I personally own and love! You can get a kit with 2 batteries, usb and regular charger, a carrying case, and 5 cartomizers for $50 and free shipping. They also carry the 5 pack of blank cartomizers for $9.

I have greencig cartomizers and much prefer LeCigs!

The one piece of advice I would give you on getting a two piece model as your first pv is that you are going to want to experiment a lot with the juice flavors until you find your favorite flavor (Marlboro does NOT taste exactly like a Marlboro-which you be thankful for once your tastebuds wake back up). I would hate for you to fill up a carto and not like the flavor and have to vape it anyway. The best part of a 3 piece unit is being able to drip a couple of drops on the atty and if the flavor is disgusting, either blow it out on a paper towel and burn the rest off, give it a quick rinse and dry it out and start over or vape through it (which will be considerably less time than vaping through a carto). 2 piece models are excellent if you like the flavor you are vaping but you can't clean them out as much as you can...say, a 510 atty. Just keep that in mind. :)

With that said, www.madvapes.com has a disposable (which is not as disposable as you think) 510 kit for 9.99 which will pay for itself after 2 packs of cigs.

Truth. You're going to want to try a lot of flavours. If you order from Vapor4Life, and get a kit, they come with 10 cartomizers, I reccomend you get a couple of the sampler packs - having 10 different flavours is a good start. I'd recommend the tobacco sampler [EDIT: or menthol sampler if you smoke those] if you want to try the tobacco tastes, and a fruit or candy sampler for the variety (even if you think you won't like, I still recommend trying it)

If you add to the basic kit, try the coffee shop sampler, it has 3 of my top 5 flavours in it :)

If I would buy the 2-piece from Green Smoke am I really just paying for the name or is it a better product?

I see it's almost 3x's as much for the starter set. Anyone ever gone the GreenSmoke route? thanks

I have read that the GreenSmoke has better vapor than the Vapor King, but at the expense of flavor and throat hit. I have a Vapor King and I love it, but my priority is not vapor. I also like their customer service, which is top-notch.

I should probably mention that V4L now has cartomizers made with VG (vegetable glycerin), which gives them a lot more vapor than the standard ones that use PG. I haven't tried them yet but I'm planning to add some to my next order.

I just got mine today.. and IMHO they are hugely different than the PG cartos. As one would expect... substantially more vapor.. probably a little less.. or smoother TH. Quite nice actually.

I thought about GreenSmoke, too, and actually placed my order kinda impulsively. Then I read more and most reviews I read said that GreenSmoke's flavors weren't very good. Like some kind of aftertaste or something. I didn't actually receive the order, as they were out of stock, so I can't say on the flavor. There is a lot of agreement that Greensmoke produces more vapor than other 2 piece ecigs, but less throat hit and less [pleasant] flavor.

I ended up ordering a VK from V4L and absolutely love it. You can check out more reviews about V4L and the vk at the V4l subforum. There are over 80 flavors to choose from and now they have VG cartomizers, which produce even more vapor. I was honestly a little worried about the vapor production and my main concern, I thought, was vapor...because I love to play with the smoke. It was my mo when I was smoking. Comparatively, I can tell you that my VK produces plenty of vapor for french inhaling and blowing smoke rings. And I couldn't handle the throat hit and had to step down the nicotine level, so I am happier with my ecig than I ever was with my capri ultra light menthols. :D

Whatever you decide, gratz to you! Happy vaping!

I just got the GreenSmoke starter kit (showed up yesterday) It is my only e-cigarette, so I can't compair it to anything other than real cigarettes. It puts off a ton of vapor, the tobacco flavor doesn't taste like tobacco, but I like it anyway :p

The carts are easy to change over, no mess or anything, only tried tobacco and the vanilla flavors so far and they are both delicious.

Only problem I've found so far is that my small battery you really have to haul on to get it to work, but I've used it a bit and trying to re-charge it now, hopefully it works, else I'm sure GreenSmoke will replace it.

I definitely recommend it. Good luck in whatever you get
