What is the best 2 piece e cig?

The much more expensive E9 (e.g., GreenSmoke, Smoke51, eSmoke, SmokeTip, WhiteCloud, etc.) is not the most popular among ECF members. [Notice how heavily supported by E9 advertising the CigaretteReviews.org site is. In fact, it is not really a "reviews" site, but appears to be a marketing coop for those brands (and the blu).]

Thanks for the plug, YKruss! And it is not just I; the Kr8 is one of the two most widely recommended models for a new vaper (the other is the 510, either on the regular 510 battery or on the eGO).
DonDaBoomVape thank you for your input. I plan to check out Vapor4Life and there KR808. My experience has shown the brands I've reviewed to be the best in my opinion. One of the reason I decided to get involved with this forum was to learn more about what others prefer. I hope to be able to add some value to the forum but it looks like I've a lot of learning to do. :) Again thanks for your input! David

Ah, you are a real, sincere vaper after all! Welcome to ECF, David! [I thought you were a shill for those cigarettereviews.org E9 companies. Sorry I doubted you.]

I initially used an 801 and a 510, both 3-piece. I liked them both but hated the mess of dealing with filling the cart, adding straws, replacing the filling with blue foam or fluval, etc. I tried 808 cartomizers (using an adapter) but I didn't like the draw or the flavor.

Since the big 510 cartomizers have come out I think I have the best of both worlds. A two-piece that I'm not constantly refilling and that tastes good. I like the ones with the soft end which I remove and replace with a drip tip.

Do the 510 cartomizers differ that much from the KR8 carts?... aren't they basically the same?

I just received an order of the Boge 510 cartomizers. They appear to be just about the same size as the KR8 and hold 1 ml of juice. Attached to my eGo, they sure put out the vapor. I've been using the same cart for two days, topping it off to keep it wet and the vapor has not diminished. I'd recommend them to any 510 user who was considering two piece.

As far as I can tell, the Kr808 is still the king of the 2-piece system. That's the one I got and I love it.

The Kr808 is not interchangeable with the GreenSmoke parts, but with the kit costing $35, it's worth it to start over.

For starters, they have much longer battery life than a GreenSmoke. I consistently get 7 or 8 hours out of mine, but apparently I have especially excellent batteries.

Second, they have a much better reputation of reliability. It's not that GreenSmoke is bad, it's that all super-mini e-cigs have performance and reliability issues due to being so small. The technology really isn't there to make something that small perform well consistently.

If you're impressed with the GreenSmoke, I have the feeling the Kr808 will blow your mind.

I ordered both the v2cigs.com (KR808D1) ultimate kit and the greensmoke (E9)kit, figuring I'll try them both and return the one I like less. I received the GS kit first, so not knowing any better thought it was really good, and quit analogs on the second day of vaping (after smoking for 15 yrs, I couldn't believe how easy it was, but that's for another thread :).

When I got the v2cigs kit, it blew away the greensmoke!

-First off, i had to use super human suction power to pull a drag off the GS cig...to the point that my lips started to hurt. I could just imagine the wrinkles that the thing would cause over time...don't want that!
- I thought the GS carts were ok until I got the V2cig kit. The v2 carts taste awesome, and the GS carts were just blah.
- There are lots of cart companies out there that sell kr8 compatible carts, whereas there are only two companies that I could find that sell carts compatible with the GS E9, one in China (ecig.com) and Lecig.com
-The kr8 batteries seem to last a LOT longer than the e9
-GS only carries auto batteries, where v2cigs has both manual and auto...so since I didn't know the difference anyway, i ordered auto and manual from v2cig and LOVE the manual (with button)..so easy to use, although they do eat up the carts faster.
-GS shipping is way fast, while V2cigs is on the slow side, but it was worth the wait.

So, to my fellow newbies, I'd recommend getting a kr808d1 and pass on the e9 style.

Good luck and happy vaping!

Add one more to the list of users that have been very happy with V4L and their products. Excellent choice, in my opinion, for someone starting out and wants something light-weight, easy to use, and a good selection of flavors & accessories. Prices may not be rock bottom, but are very reasonable (esp. with a coupon code) and they have a very good reputation.

I am very happy with the KR808D-1. I ordered an Ultimate Kit from V2cigs and was very pleased with the value and quality of the product. Although the company admits to having some order fulfillment and shipping issues, I received my kit in 3 business days with only the PCC backordered. I have also ordered some fancy new batteries and a bunch of different flavor cartos from V4L. they have an outstanding selection of flavors. Also V2cigs only makes 6, 12 & 18mg nicotine strengths. they recommend the lower nicotine for people new to vaping, so I ordered the 6 & 12's. Not enough nicotine for me at this point. I think it probably should be the opposite: start high and work your way down. I ordered 18 and 24 mg cartos from V4L in various flavors. I'm confident I will find a good match for me with that. I think one of the great things about the KR808D-1 is the great variety of batteries, flavors and accessories available from many vendors. I like the ease of the 2 piece design. a big part of smoking for me was holding the cigarette in hand, this device meets that need for me too.

I went with greensmoke as my first pv. The old cartos were good, but even with them I found my chest hurting from how hard the draw was if I vaped constantly. Then they switched manufacturers for the cartos, they burned out quickly and the draw was like trying to suck a golf ball through a straw. That's when I switched....

The kr808 is far superior to the e9, and V4L is the best when it comes to suppliers. You can't beat their customer service. You can look at their sub forum and see how happy their customers are.

Vapor King all the way. Best pen-style setup out there for the starting vaper IMHO. I have one and love it. True 3.7 vaping, good batty life, great cartos, and easy refills. Now, if my new ProVari will show up I'll be set for all my vaping needs LV to HV. Gonna drop a VapeMate on that bad boy and the atty till the cows come home! Yeah baby!!

I too got the GreenSmoke and really, really like it. I liked the idea of not messing with juice and getting a fresh atty with the cart and the carts last a LONG time. However ... flavors with GS are limited, battery life is not great and felt like I have to work at it to get a good draw. I'm still going to be using it but just got a Joye510 - folks here talking up flavors are to blame. After spending some time reading these posts messing with juice and attys seems less imtimiding now. I do get more vapor from the 510 - I was a heavy smoker and the imagery of the "smoke" is more satisfying. Good luck to you!!!

I'm wondering the same thing... I ordered my kit already but haven't received it yet, but I ordered from v2cigs and it doesn't say on the website what model number it is or anything. I've been watching mistressnomad's youtube vids and wondering if I should have done more research first (didn't find ecf until after the fact because google is so flooded with other stuff). Does anyone know abot V2cigs?

Thanks for the review! I just posted a question about v2cigs (hadn't discovered your post yet) and I'm very happy to know that it is a kr808d1 and that it got good reviews. I ordered from them because they are close to me, but they are fairly new, and I think understaffed. I'm very glad that I will be able to shop around for supplies!

Pretty much my exact experience haha except 12mg was perfect for me

Love my v2

SMOKETIP is my favorite...and is KR808...they now make a 350mAh batter. I am getting the PT from them. I used GreenSmoke, but didn't feel totally satified, So I tried the SmokeTip. SmokeTip way surpasses GreenSmoke. Very easy draw and a lot of vapor.
