I spent some time researching some tube mods, and I think I have decided on an Omega :) I read a lot of posts about batteries and chargers as well, and was considering getting a few of these batteries:

AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

And this charger:

Pila IBC Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger

Will this be a good setup if I want to try some LR 1.5 atties as well as standard ones? I am a bit worried about battery malfunctions, but not sure I should be (how common are battery venting incidents?).

Thanks in advance:)

no drain problems with those batteries and any LR atty. that's a great battery option and an excellent charger selection. anything is always a possibility, but those batteries and that charger make a beautiful partnership, and they're extremely high quality, fully capable, and with protection circuitry to avoid and/or diminish the effects of misuse and malfunction.
