So i have some japanese occ and 28g kantal kuro concepts cw 20 coil tool, UD building tool set and a Infinite Magma clone. I've never done rebuildable before but want to start. I already have a sigelei running with dual 30A batteries. I still need to get an ohm meter. Question is what is the best coil to be building when just starting out with what i have, when it comes to flavor and ease of build? Preferably some detailed info as I am new to this stuff.

Yay!! Can't wait to see your builds!! This was my "First build" thread.
First Build... (not perfect) | E-Cigarette Forum

I chose to build a .6 ohm coil cause in your other thread (even though it eventually came out to be .8 ohm instead), someone suggested to KISS. Try it out! No harm in doing so. That way, you can compare how your build vapes to how your Atlantis V1 vapes.

Remember not to overdue it on the cotton! That was my problem. It has to be just enough where you can slide the cotton easily with a little.. just a tad.. of resistance. :)
(I used WAY too much cotton on my first build )

Good luck and post pics!

Yeah i remember that post in there but that just tells my target resistance it would be .5 ohms. I have no clue how the wraps work into it. I don't know why wraps are so prevelent in coil builds. Can someone explain how the number of wraps tie in to all this?

In simple terms, resistance is based on wire gauge + length of wire used. It makes it easier to share builds if we count wraps for a given diameter. So people share their builds by naming how many wraps, wire gauge and rod diameter.

I actually just read that last question now.. didn't see that yesterday.
Basically: The thinner the gauge, the quicker it is to heat up the coil. Less wraps, also quicker to heat (lower watts needed). Thicker gauge, slower heat up time. More wraps, also slower heat up time (higher watts needed).

You're not planning on making a dual coil right? I don't want to confuse you even more by going into explaining that but let me know if you're ready or do want to know! =)
