Parallels in Magma? How wide can they be?

I'm thinking of throwing a parallel coil in my Magma clone but I'm not quite sure if it'll work out the way I want.

I'm thinking about doing around a 0.7 ohm single parallel build around a 2mm mandrel with 28g kanthal a1. According to Vaper's Toolbox this should be around 8 wraps, which will mean a total of 16 wraps. Is this gonna be too wide for the airflow in the Magma? Should I maybe set it a little higher than normal so the air has a chance to spread out a bit and hit the whole thing?

I'm starting to get a little low on wire or I'd just throw it on there and see. I don't really wanna waste too much playing around until I get more.

My experience and what I have read puts the coils 1-2mm above the airhole. Your vapor shoots out directly below your coil into the airholes with a well shouldered wick giving you optimum flavor. The downside is leaking. I run my Magma borderline leaking; it's the best vape for me.

The other issue with your higher wicks is wick re-saturation. It just will take that much longer for your juice to re-saturate in your coil.

It sounds like you have solved your coil width issue by finding a build you like.

Good luck and keep us posted as you search for your sweet spot.
