i own an ipv 4 and a mutation x2 currently running with a .2 ohm quad coil setup. I love all the vapor but I feel like I'm not getting full flavor.. Should I do a dual cool or single cool for better flavor? Right now I have 26ga kanthal, 4 coils each wrapped around a 3mm drill bit. Again it hits hard and huge clouds but lack of flavor and battery life is terrible even on my ipv4, will I get a better battery life with less coils?

Yes, you will get better battery life with less coils... Less wire to heat up, less wire to pump power through.

Flavor is a tricky thing. The Mutation series, imo, haven't been the best for flavor but have been top of the line for clouds. To maximize flavor, I would go with just a dual coil or single coil setup, and close off the airflow a bit.

Coil Build Configuration

Dual Coil - Decent Flavor, Poorest Vapor Production
Triple Coil - Best Flavor Production, Good Vapor Production
Quad Coil - Decent Flavor Production, Best Vapor Production

RDA Diameter

Narrow or small chamber 18mm to 19mm - Best Flavor Production, Poorest Vapor Production
Median 20 mm to 21mm - Good Flavor Production, Good Vapor Production
Wide 21mm and larger chamber - Poorest Flavor Production, Best Vapor Production

RDA Airflow

Less, Restricted, or Narrow Airflow - Best Flavor Production, Poorest Vapor Production
Median Airflow - Good Flavor Production, Good Vapor Production
Wide or Very Loose Airflow - Poorest Flavor Production, Best Vapor Production

Have to balance all 3 of those and build toward what you are wanting, flavor, clouds, or balanced

The Mutation Series has never been stellar on flavor production and excellent on cloud production, wide deck, very loose airflow, great for quad coils, but if you want to ramp up the flavor a bit, drop it to a triple coil. If battery drain is still to high, and looking to crank out more flavor, get a smaller RDA like a Derringer or IGO W V1 or V4, even a Tugboat RDA will have better flavor than a Mutation

according to steam engine that should run at around 70 watts

the higher the watts, the faster you drain the battery.
