ok - so , failure after failure in cartos from more than 10 suppliers, I have now finally found a cartomizer that works really nice
As you can see in photos, it does not have a wire going through, but something like a spring coil that goes in a plastic cylinder - that makes it almost impossible to burn -at least really hard :p
I've been using same carto now since yesterday, refilled about 5 times and still going strong
They easily hold 25 drops, lots of vapors and nice flavor
The good part is when the liquid inside is almost done, the vapors decrease to almost nothing but you do not get any burned taste !! - really nice

wordupecig is the name you have to check

also got tobacco flavours from Jeffrey - winston, marlb, B7H, camel, flue cured and american spirit
very nice flavors, tons of vapors on 3.7V - TH is not that big ( I like it big :p) but is there

Customer Service - 20/10 !!!!!!!!!!!
Tried to pay with my CC aussie card and didn't worked - I've emailed them and got a reply in 5 min asking for phone no - they called me and did the transaction over the phone - very nice
They also work 24/7 !!:toast:

can you measure them, or don't you have a voltage meter?

Emonty, another member tested the 4081 cartos from wordup on his voltometer and they were about 3 ohms. This is a different thread pattern, mind you, but the same company. I guess the kr8s are probably similar, but your best bet is to email them and they'll tell you.

Let us know, will you?

I've had good luck with cartomizers with this particular design (coil vs. wire) in two types of cartos: the 4081 and the SLB 510. So have several other forum members, but one person reported burns.

The bottom line is that although there has been progress, none of those cartos are burn proof. But some are definitely more burn resistant than others, as you know. The first shipment of Turbos, pre-racing stripe, was sheer perfection; then quality control problems started. The new V4L CoolCarts are much improved and almost as good as the Turbos, but consistency and QC are always a problem. The new coil design is very promising IMHO. If you're intersted, visit us sometimes:

Burning Cartomisers? Dangerous?-E9/VK/bloog/totem/808/DPV9/Smoke51...etc

Lots of useful information. I understand that it must be difficult for somebody living in the Netherlands to order a box of this or a box of that and pay the overseas shipping charges only to discover that it's a dud.

Good luck in your (our) quest to find the best cartomizer!:)

Thank you Katya, I will read the thread and study the findings.
I think there is a big demand for carto's which are safe, reliable and re-usable that can be used on 6V.

...:)

Did someone say my name? :D

seriously though, whats the deal? should I buy these? Which Ones? 4081, 510, 808d-1?

I just need something that provides a strong throat hit, and better than average burn resistance. I plan to buy a BUZZ soon, so presumably, I should be able to fine-tune the voltage to find the sweet-spot on any carto.

that seems my best bet battery. Just to narrow down the carto choice.

Hehehe... Hi, Salt! :D

Honest, if you managed to burn the early (pre-racing stripe) Turbos and SLB 510 (same construction as 4081) and V4L CoolCartos, there is very little hope for you.:p

You must be a very impatient and aggressive vaper, I agree with Lori and her assassment in the other thread. Either slow down, refill early and often, and rotate your cartos like crazy to give them time to recover and rewick the juice or switch to a 3-piece design. Or something like Mr. Puffer, where the juice just drips continuously.

I have no reason to believe that wordup cartos are any more burn resistant than the cartos I mentioned above. They maybe just as good. But I may be wrong, I haven't tried them, just comparing the specs... on paper, I don't see much difference.
