Hey all!

I have to admit that I'm a bit confused about finding the right threading numbers for my volt battery. I can't afford very much, so an adapter or new battery is out of the question. I can really only get a clearomiser.

With that in mind, I know that the volt Nanos are bad news with leaking, and I've seen in other threads a lot of talk about alternate clearos from other places. I've noticed that some of them may need an adapter, though-just going by sight. Still, I'm finding all of it a bit disorienting because even though something is for an 808, it may not go on a Volt

So, for those of you with regular volt batteries, what clearos out there will fit properly on a volt? I am a bit finicky about appearance (I know.. I know... ) so it would be nice if the diameter was the same as the battery, but not absolutely necessary. )Though, a heads up would be appreciated...:D

Looking for something pocket friendly... It feels like I'm asking a lot, here...

The Volt battery you are talking about unless I am badly confused is the same one I have in my hand, it's a standard 808 so you can use any 808 threaded carts. I have been looking for a good clearo myself and no luck so far. The CE3s just leaked too much for me, I have a thread a little further down the board about my experience with them. I have CE2s coming in the mail today, along with a 901 atomizer and some cartridges for it, and I will post my luck with them once I have a chance to try. So far the best thing I have found is just to stick with SI cartomizers. They dont leak and work well.

So far as adapter the most common is to use an 808-501 adapter, I dont have one and am only repeating what I have heard. Most will not work on auto batteries, they have to have the two 'ramps' cut in to do that, but on manual batteries they should work fine. Also the 901 is supposed to be compatible without an adapter - we'll see when I open my mail later today.

Update, got my package. CE2s appear to work ok, better than the 3s, but I dont think they will be pocket friendly. Have to keep them set up right or they will leak, slowly, out the mouthpiece area. Still at least they arent just dumping everything straight onto the battery!

And the atomizer does fit and work fine. It's a high resistance model I was hoping would work better on my 5v pass-through, and it does appear to work fine for now. Once I have a little more experience with them I will try to post more of a thorough review.

The mini tanks by Halo are renamed Nanos. I have no clue if the build quality is better than S.I.'s, but I doubt it.

808 clearos compatible with the Volt are the CE2, CE3, CE4, Nano, Tidy, T4, M3 and e-Smart. There's one or 2 others, but they're probably not worth mentioning as they are difficult to find.

I've never used the CE2 or CE3, but I have used the Tidy 10. It requires a syringe to fill like the other 2, but I didn't experience any leaks with the one I tried. I wasn't a fan of it, but I'm not a fan of clearos in general.

The CE4 is technically made for the vGo/eGo battery, but it uses the 808 threading for the connection. It will work on your stick battery, but it's rather large in comparison.

The M3 I liked back when I used them regularly. It's a mini, top-coil clearo but it's made for the M1/M3 batteries so it's 14 mm in diameter rather than 9.2 mm so it will be rather over large. Also, the top cap simply pops on so they are not pocket friendly.

The e-Smart clearos have gotten rave reviews, but they are also 14 mm diameter.

The only 808 threaded T4 I'm aware of in the States is the Ex-Blank at V2. As with most clearos they've gotten mixed reviews, and V2's pricing isn't the best.

Good luck.

The CE3s appear to be bottom coil systems, like all the cartomizers I have used so far. You fill them with a syringe and you have to turn them upside down and do it very slowly to let the air out at the battery interface. What seemed to happen with them was there was no/insufficient wick and even without damaging them they simply leaked far too much when in an upright position. Plus very easy to damage while filling.

The CE2s appear to be top coil, there is no opening between the bottom of the reservoir and the battery attachment for leaks to go through. Instead the fluid has to follow the wick up. Sounds harder but seems to work fine. You fill it with a syringe but you dont have to turn it upside down. There are two openings both larger than the needle so there is plenty of room for air to escape and no seals to blow out in the process. They are leak resistant but not leak proof on the top - you're fine to swirl the liquid up now and then to keep the wick wet but I dont think they would store well upside down.

Both have a little different taste as well. Hard to describe the difference, not sure if I really like it or not.

Thanks for the info Arker and Abracadabra!

Hm... dangit, I only have auto batteries. I'm willing to look anywhere, though.
(See links below)

Hm... I was looking at another thread...

Abracadabra, was your friend talking about these?

e-Smart clearomizers - package of 5

And... I was also looking at these, though they're for another ecig company

Translucent Smoke | G6 Mini Tanks | Halo Cigs

yes Seigun that's the ones.....if you look on page 3 in Si threads title (Is si Looking Into new Mini Tank) you will see pic of the esmart on the volt...the size difference isn't much...im mainly like using spinners...but like idea of using my smaller bats..my friend loves them...so im hoping they workout for me..;)

Halo's products also use 808D threading, so if you want an inexpensive clearo to use with your volt battery, I would recommend Halo's mini clearomizer (found under their Triton product line). I have one and it works perfect with my volt auto batteries. They are built well, and I have had no leaking issues with them so far.

I had bought a SMALL Kanger t-something that look like the Vapor-Kings one pictured. It was great....then I started in with my Ego and let the small clearos go.....still like using the 808 for going out and about.....very nice size and feel. I think it might of been a T-2 or T-4 if anyone knows more about these.

Halo mini tanks are what I currently use on my Volts...but I've only been using them for a week...so not much experience. So far so good. I put them in my pocket when out and about, but not sure I would trust them while doing anything physical since the top is just a push on top. The Esmart is a screw on top and a little larger...I have them marked for trial in the future.

Actually the Halo G6 mini tanks are not renamed Nanos. They are Kanger 808d-1 T4 clearomizers. They're also sold at LiteCig USA, and EVcigarettes, but only in clear. Halo is the only one I've found that has them in different colors.

Hoping your correct about the nano's from SI. I just ordered 10 of them for 19.99 to try. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been looking for a good 808 clearo to try and numerous people have said the si nanos leak more than half the time.

So now I'm really eyeballing the halo mini tank or whatever they call it.
I'd at least like to try one

The Halo mini-tank (aka Kanger T4 808D-1 clearomizer) has been working great on my 808D-1 batteries and pass-throughs. As ckmeyers mentions above, you can find the clear ones at other vendors (sometimes for less than Halo charges) but only Halo offers them in colors.

The mouthpiece is press-fit but makes a pretty good seal; I haven't had any issues with leakage as long as I don't fill them much above the 0.9ml line or tilt the mouthpiece way down trying to get the last droplet of juice to the wicks. But I have noticed that condensation tends to collect in the mouthpiece (and sometimes ends up in your mouth - yuck!). However, you can avoid this if you cut your battery about a second before you finish taking a drag, or take a little puff after each vape to clear the residual vapor. This is a very minor problem but I figured it's worth mentioning. I'm not sure I'd wanna carry them in my pocket, but that goes for any tank.

They're a top-coil design which allegedly delivers a warmer vape but honestly, I'm not sure how much difference it makes since the atomizer is less than an inch closer to the mouthpiece vs. a bottom-coil design. Having the atomizer up top does make it a bit of pain to fill but it's really not too bad. The wicks are short so as the liquid level drops, you'll need to hold your e-cig horizontally and twirl it a bit to keep the wicks saturated.

Cleaning is easy: just pop off the mouthpiece and rinse out both pieces with hot water, shake 'em out and let dry overnight. My original mini-tank/clearomizer is still going strong after several weeks and I've bought several more since. They're cheap enough that you can dedicate one to each flavor (and Halo's colored tanks are very handy for that).

For 2-4 bucks each, I don't think you can go wrong. Try 'em.
