Bottom coil - uses the same coil unit as the eGo-c type A. They've insulated the spike so no burning so far and there's a 'head cap' over the spike plate as well which likely reduces burning. No leaking anywhere so far. Filling requires a thin tip bottle top which cignot sometimes has but you have to leave room for air to escape when filling - so far no problem. Fill from bottom - manual says top ;) but site says bottom....

Here's the blurb from joyetech:

Joyetech eGo-CC Atomizer (Changeable clearomizer)

Thanks for the nfo. I especially like the part about the juice level
"The transparent window is the highlight of
eGo-CC. From which, the liquid volume is
quite intuitive."

But does that mean the juice knows what I'm thinking? :toast:

Maybe someone can chime in here as I don't want to start a new thread just for this

But I ordered a ce4 but they messed up my order and sent me a battery.. It looks like an ego 650mah but it has a 3 click safety instead of 5 and it has '15' printed in the connector. Weird because I don't see any batteries on their site with a 3 click safety. Is it a regular ego battery same as the 5 click ones? Figured I better be sure before putting it on my charger.

There's some good suggestions here. Before you purchase, though, I highly recommend that if you want to be self sufficient (and not go broke vaping) that you grab up a clearomizer that can easily be rebuilt. This will also protect you from any changes in laws (FDA bans, local laws, federal bans, etc.). Check for vids on how to do it first (on YouTube) and decide from there. Price may also be a factor.

I'm oldschool at this point, so I still use the (tried and true) Vivi Nova Mini, although there are several newer options. The cost of buying replacement heads is utterly ridiculous, as is filling up landfill space with stuff you can re-use ad infinitum.

I like the Vivi Nova Mini because it is one of the few tanks that you can get a metal replacement tube for (I know Vaporbeast sells them), which makes it virtually indestructible, and doubles as a blackjack so you can club people for vaping cash in desperation. :) I know I've broken a couple of tubes in my day from drops. Then the center post gets out of alignment on the tank, so you manhandle it to straighten it back out, and then BAM! Tank cracks. Not to mention some juices (especially of the citrus variety) can melt the plastic which ruins the tank (not to mention what awful chems you just mixed into your juice with melted plastic).

At this point, they are all seemingly coming together to become relatively the same unit, with minor variations on a theme (flavor, vapor production, top/bottom coil, rebuildable/not rebuildable) that can often be modified by what wick/coil you use to rebuild it with/what juice you vape. It's good to see the industry kind of hit a level of standardization, but sad that it's not really advancing any more as quickly as it used to.

I'd also recommend that you stay away from all metal entry level cheap rebuildable atomizers from China until you do some (very) thorough research (youtube and ECF are your friends). Some of them work out, but some require modification (drilling a bigger air hole, sanding, etc.) to be worth the money. Some are really hard to rebuild and not worth the effort, as well.

You may also want to get a cone adapter so as to improve the cosmetic streamline factor of your e-cig, no matter which tank you choose.

Can you post a pic or two? Hard to say anything without more info.

If you have a volt meter, check the voltage and polarity of the battery they sent, and compare it to one you already have. If they're essentially the same on voltage - it may vary slightly depending on charge state, quality of regulations and so on - and the polarity is the same, should be ok.

I tried several clearos on my Twists before settling on the Protanks. I had an MT3 that I really liked, but it was difficult to find replacement heads for it. The mini Vivi Nova was a favorite as was the regular sized Vivi Nova. The iClear 16 was great until it started giving me issue and I eventually stomped it into oblivion in a fit of rage.

I settled on the glass tanks for two reasons. Ease of use and I have a few favorite juices that are really good tank crackers. (Killed my mini Vivi Nova because of that. **sigh** )

It took me some time to find the setup that works best for me. Don't be afraid to try new things and you'll also find what works best for you.

Where did you get your glass tanks? I love cinnamon and they are hard on the CE5's I have.

I've heard great things about the T3S(3.0 mL). I use iClear 16's(1.6 mL) and they work very well. Waiting on my Kanger ProTank 2(2.5 mL), but I have also heard it is good.

I just received my protank 2 and absolutely love it! by far the best I've used to date, my other favs are the i16 dual coils and the kanger t3s which I won't be using that much anymore :) but for an ego bat I found that the i16's worked best for me, never did try the big i30 but I'm sure it's just as good.

Smokin, sorry, still not enough to be conclusive about what it is... other than not any version of a Spinner or Twist :(
Any markings on the base? Can't tell from the angle of the pics.

Any chance you can contact the vendor for more info? I understand they sent it to you by mistake, but was there any wrapping that had markings??

Again, if the polarity is the same, your current chargers (if 420 mAh output) should be ok to use.... with the emphasis on should. If polarity is reversed, then the charger, battery or both will fail on application of power. Not a good scenario.

Yea I sent in a ticket to find out what it is. It was in a little orange box with a sticker that said "ce4 2.4 ohm"..

No markings or anything.. Works with my old ce4s.
