I don't have koolada but i've used Polar Blast with mixed results. I like it in some recipes and not in others, and i haven't figured out any pattern ! In a couple of recipes that i thought would call for it, it didn't work for me, and in one i used by mistake, and it really enhanced the recipe !

Polar Blast is a koolada/menthol-type "cool"; but with a noticeable "mint" overtone (similar to FW Extreme Ice(?); which has a defined "wintergreen" note).

I can't offer an opinion about the Polar Blast; as I have not tried it. I can say that the Extreme Ice (FW) does have a slight hint of wintergreen. I have a friend I mix a Wintergreen recipe for, and I replaced the menthol with the E.I., and he likes the little extra kick of W.G.
If you are not a wintergreen fan; I would steer clear of Extreme Ice.
