Looks like a nice mech setup. If you've got experience with making coils you should be good to go. If you haven't checked out baditudes blog for battery safety it'd be good read.

I went with the nemesis for my first mech, and today I got a Caravela, both are too awesome to describe. I vote for a nemesis, hands down, and it had a smooth firing button which is why, I would advise it over the vella for a first.

I just used www.fasttech.com got the stainless steel nemesis mod and a omega style rda drip tank, all i need to do now is find a good place to get batteries and a charger

You definitely done it the cheaper way, you will however suffer waiting on it longer, they are slow. A nemesis, with a patriot is my favorite setup, I love mine, nothing touches it really.

Now make sure you order good batteries, NOT from fasttech and a charger and you got the package bro. +cotton and kanthal 28g is best

Below are some links to a very reputable and trustworthy vendor for batteries and a charger.

I would highly recommend the AW 1600 mAh, or the Sony VTC4's. On a Mech mod you want high maximum discharge rate, and a more gradual voltage curve, don't be misled into thinking higher mAh means your getting more of your moneys worth, your not when using in a mech.

Your interested in safety and how long a battery maintains an output above 3.7V, not how long a battery lasts until fully drained. Trust me, you want one of these two batteries.

Recommended Batteries:

AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mAh - Batteries

Sony US18650VTC4

Chargers:

Battery Chargers


Please take the time to thoroughly read up on the basics/safety of using an un-regulated device and building your own coils. There are more things you need to purchase, like an Ohm meter etc etc..

How much cheaper did you get the mods for than normal? Are they clones? Not necessarily a bad thing to buy clones. Some are built very well.

Well I have purchased two of my mech clones from local shops, the nemesis and Caravela, Both were $49.99 from two different stores. You must pay for getting them instantly in my town.
