Thanks for that - it was very interesting. I listened from about 21 minutes in to the end. Got a kick out of the one guy asking about the media hysteria and the comments from one of the panelists about 3rd-hand nicotine (which said panelist took exception to, of course, but still... LOL)

At least they confessed that they won't now or ever straighten things out like they should.
I do wish a reporter would have have asked who the regulator scientists are & how much have they been paid, and please, do tell, who "owns" regulatory science, who created it and why?
A step into the world of regulating harder and harder.
The main focus on their decision to attack nicotine is something that was said in a deposition over 40 years ago.

My views as listening-

They sure love those California prohibitionists, er I mean regulatory scientists. Hopefully Slantz has plenty of soldiers working toward the future leadership positions. However knowing the money will continue coming from Washington, they will be plenty of candidates.

So the government has been taking business from the US economy (tobacco growing) and shifting it to other countries.

They sure talk alot about the science, but the science they're using is all from prohibitionists. I wonder if they've seen any of the positive science toward e cigarettes.

These people, with all their scientific studies, really don't know much about the dependence. They are not one step closer to harm reduction and all the much better alternatives unless of course it involves using multiple Pharma products and counseling.

These people don't realize that the tobacco industry doesn't have to advertise to continue the "epidemic". The prohibitionist will keep getting the young rebels to want to try what the establishment wants to control.
