Although it's not as compact as the modular tube mods, I'd rather go with a Magneto over a FT clone. Great button, does the job well, and isn't ripping off someone's work.
While it doesn't claim to be, the magneto is a clone (or at least inspired by, lol) the Nzonic and the K100 and K101 are empire mod clones. ;)

The thing is, everyone's 'end game' is different. A box mod would be fine for me at home or while I'm playing poker, but at work the form-factor just doesn't work for me. I need compact, pocket-friendly with no leaking and great performance. A Stingray under a Kayfun Lite Plus is that end game. Still tempted to get a REO for home use.

at home? LOL. you funny

Reos are routinely run over by cars, dropped on the ground from a Harley at 45 mph, and never skip a beat. compact, pocket-friendly and never leaking is what they are known for

I just picked up a vanilla mod and I am loving it. 304 stainless steel with copper contacts and it vapes like a dream with my kayfun lite plus. A few others I like are the nemesis, podiac, and I have my eye on the Hana Modz dna 30 if youre into box mods that are vw (I know, not mech) but it costs a pretty penny

At home because it won't work well for me on the go. I am fully aware of the durability of the REO. For me it isn't pocket friendly for work. In a front dress pant pocket while walking/sitting/standing and sharing that limited space with a cellphone is the big problem for me. A small tube mod works better in this scenario. Having a sub-ohm dripper with 6ml on standby would be great while lounging at home or sitting at a poker table though. I can really see myself burning through juice with one of those.

what do yall think of the ar mods or normal panzer?

I'm curious, did you settle on a mechanical yet? The reason I ask is that I'm on the hunt for a nice one too and am close to settling on a camo AR mod. That Blackhawk Panzer you mentioned in OP got me almost 2nd guessing since I'd not seen that one before.
