Hi all....wondering if anyone could point me in a good direction. I tend to throw my leg over my dirt bike a lot and get lost in woods for some fun and excitement. Trying to find a setup or storage setup that would handle the thrashing. Would love to get some vaping in when my friends pull their analogs out on our breaks. Thanks for your input!

Ideas:

** A 450mAh eGo battery and a Vivi Nova would fit right in your pocket alongside your wallet. Smoktech Mini 450mah EGO Manual Switch Battery

** I've seen this neat modular drip tips, where you usually pick three and stack them to make custom drip tips. Just one piece would give you a 1/3 drip tip that would be less likely to snap off.

** Lanyard under your jacket.

** Look for cases for pepper spray that has a belt loop. Bingo.

If it was me (I cycle, so to an extent I'm in your position), I'd get the mini eGo battery and vivi nova with that tiny drip tip I was talking about, and keep that for when you need the portability. 400mAh will get you through a lot of riding if it's just during breaks.

Oh, and you know the beauty rings that come with vivi novas? Use them! I think it makes the connection sturdier and less likely to break under stress (when it's screwed tight against the clearomizer).

+1 MVP

Tank, hmmm maybe the SS tank for Kanger bottom that just came out or a fluid flask. Then again a DCT tank is pretty forgiving if you can deal with cartos.

This is where you need either poly or steel tanks with a feed that won't flood easily. That being said maybe Short terminator.

MVP is a good solidly built big battery mod. But no, I wouldn't recommend the Protank for your purpose. As said, the glass tank could well break.

Maybe an MT3 on top. Something with ego threads would seem to provide better mechanical strength. Altoid type tin, padded with something as simple as folded tissue, to carry a couple more MT3, and even up to a 650 ego battery if you wanted a backup. (You want a backup. While you're not liable to run out of power on the MVP, stuff happens.)

@Discord: that's exactly what I was thinking.

I have a thread asking this as well: why can't anyone make one of those as big around as a roll of quarters? Pocket vape that lasts the day...

I don't think there's anything stopping anyone from doing that. I suspect the only reason there isn't one already is because this is still a market that's experimenting with products. I'm quite sure it will come. These aren't particularly complicated devices, and really, anyone can come along and make anything, test market it on a small scale, see how it does then send plans off to mass-produce it. Another reason this may not have been an obvious choice up to this point is most of the devices so far are based entirely around a relatively small number of batteries. though, I could imagine a small form-factor 18350 twist-type mod that wouldn't have to be longer than the SD keyring. This wouldn't be "all-day", but it'd last a hell of a lot longer than the SD Keyring.

This is pretty close, but not VV (but neither is the SD Keyring):

For my rough and ready activities especially those outdoors I depend on my lanyards a really great deal. With it hanging around my next it can be tucked into my jacket, sweatshirt, or t-shirt and ride along in a safe spot. Its also more convenient then stopping to dig around in bags to locate the box with the setup, screw it all together - fill it up and find at that point everyone is ready to move on. As long as your not using a massive atomizer the battery will be the weighted end and you won't spill liquid down your chest and you can set it up and fill it up before you ever walk out the door. The only time you will spend messing with it while out and about is if you do need a refill before you get home.

The way I go as its cheaper then buying the ego cases and pretty much are like tey were made for e-cigs are the diabetese supply cases. I have several of these because they are available all over the place and are constructed to hold things that are much more fragile they an e-cig setup. These are available anywhere that sells diabetic supplies and testing supplies and certainly most drug stores and places like Target, Walmart etc. These cases are usually plastic or heavy duty fabric, essentially crush resistant, and inside have the net pouches and loops - normally for holding bottle of insulin and other equipment like glucose meters - which just happens to be about the same sizes as batteries and other parts of your set ups. the nice thing about these cases is they usually have some smaller loops that are used for syringes that do a great job for holding atomizers, clearomizers and/or cartomizers whatever you wish to have with you. Some of these can get pretty fancy and even have outside pouches if you want to keep a setup ready to go to grab out of the outside, side zippers and so on. Most come with some type of attachment device whether you want it on a belt, backpack and so on. Some also come with cooler backs and waterproof areas for keeping insulin cool - which will also keep your e-liquid from getting to warm if your out in hot weather. Not a good idea you use e-liquid that has been evaporated some so keeping it cool is a good idea. The pouch that holds the cold pack is waterproof so no risks to the battery- the chill won't hurt the battery.

One nice thing about going with the diabetic supply cases is because you can find them locally you are not guessing what will fit or not based on an online picture and short description - you can go look at them all and what the inside is set up with in your local store. You can also get these - especially the ones with more options - online like at amazon, online pharmacies sites, Google diabetic supplies.

I have gone through buying cases specifically made for e-cigs and found most don't have options for extra supplies and the configurations are not really versatile but planned to just hold the specific e-cig its made for. They usually cost twice what I can get a nice diabetes one for. And for the ladies out there - there are custom ones on amazon made in very pretty patterns and ost of options. Otherwise they usually come in colors like black, blue and now and then red.

Personally, I use one of these with with a 12v car battery and Whistler-Pro-1600W-Watt-Power-Inverter in my backpack. The whole thing weighs only 67 pounds. It hold 500ml of liquid so that gets me from morning till lunch which is ok since I like to change the flavor to Bacon around noon.

Discountvapers.com used to carry something called the XL3, available in an 18650 and 18350 model, sounds like they used to be pretty reasonable price, and VV, but they don't have any listed there now, and I can't find them anywhere else, but I watched this video and they look like an awesome size/feature/price combination for someone looking for a small setup.
