Good setup for portability?

a carto tank with an ego battery would be a bullet proof setup imo.

I got sick of non-replacable batteries. I'd rather spend $4-6 for a battery that lasts longer, has more mAh, and recharges much faster and uses a generic charger, than to have to constantly be replacing proprietary batteries on proprietary chargers. just my preference.

I don't think there's anything stopping anyone from doing that. I suspect the only reason there isn't one already is because this is still a market that's experimenting with products. I'm quite sure it will come. These aren't particularly complicated devices, and really, anyone can come along and make anything, test market it on a small scale, see how it does then send plans off to mass-produce it. Another reason this may not have been an obvious choice up to this point is most of the devices so far are based entirely around a relatively small number of batteries. though, I could imagine a small form-factor 18350 twist-type mod that wouldn't have to be longer than the SD keyring. This wouldn't be "all-day", but it'd last a hell of a lot longer than the SD Keyring.

This is pretty close, but not VV (but neither is the SD Keyring):

Personally, I use one of these with with a 12v car battery and Whistler-Pro-1600W-Watt-Power-Inverter in my backpack. The whole thing weighs only 67 pounds. It hold 500ml of liquid so that gets me from morning till lunch which is ok since I like to change the flavor to Bacon around noon.

I haven't seen them in stock for a while, but everything I can find about them suggests the price is in the high $100 or low $200 range.

seems a bit steep for what it is, functionally, but it looks like a lot of care and craftsmanship has gone into them

If you are of-roading on a bike then the smaller and tougher the better yes?

I don`t off-road but I do ride my Bandit 1200 pretty hard and I Longboard as well. I have a Vamo along with a couple of Ego batteries and the delivery devices are an AGA-T2 RBA, three Kanger Evods and loads of cartomisers.
I wouldn`t dream of taking the Vamo on the bikes! I wouldn`t think of taking any fluid delivery system (such as a clearo/clearo-tank or an RBA) on the bike. Great for steeping fluid if you need the vibrations but crap for the seals that hold the fluid in!

My unbeatable solution for an afternoon hooning around on the Bandit or the longboard is sweet and simple.
An Ego-c 900mah (even better if you can get a Twist) and a couple of Boge LR cartomisers.
Short and sweet, the Ego can be turned off so it dosn`t fire or waste battery in your leathers!
The cartomisers can be turned upside down and vibrated with no fear of leaking, you pull it out of your leathers and take a vape, switch it off and worry about the road/track and hitting the bend rather than your PV breaking in your pocket :)
It will last me an afternoons ride out and take some punishment as well.

Save the more complex and fragile stuff for when you get back to base :)

Portability you say?

DCT, Vision Eternity, Cutie Tank, EVOD - eGo 400 mah battery.

The First three can be a bit smaller if you use a shorty drip tip.
Also note that the first two are sitting on top of their eGo thread covers.

*Edit: If $ is not an issue, and you have some patience, maybe a Billet Box would be perfect for your needs.

If you want something rugged that can take abuse, I would think a mechanical APV would be the ONLY way to go.
The first one that comes to mind is a Reo Grande or a Mini Reo.

The REO is really an underrated unit. It's an all in one box that holds the battery, 6ml of juice, and in my case, RBA on top. I keep going back to the REO whenever I need to go on extended trips away from my stash. There's nothing to break; just bring extra juice, extra battery, and a battery charger.

Pictured is the REO grand which take 18650 battery.

On a Dirt Bike?

I refer you to the OP post

"Hi all....wondering if anyone could point me in a good direction. I tend to throw my leg over my dirt bike a lot and get lost in woods for some fun and excitement. Trying to find a setup or storage setup that would handle the thrashing. Would love to get some vaping in when my friends pull their analogs out on our breaks. Thanks for your input! "

I suppose if it was filled and charged it`d be no bigger than a packet of analogs tho? Still a lump when compared to a lil Ego and carto :D

I read the OP. I used to ride until last year (not dirt bike, but regardless). I added new picture for size comparison. That 350mah eGo on the side won't give you the battery life/durability/vape quality that the REO next to it will.

Which is why I ride with a 900mah :p

(pissing contest across the pond ensues :D)

Is there a safety on the button on that mod? I`d hate to have that discharge in my crotch as i`m riding

It's all in good fun ;) and yes, the black button turns to lock. I've been wanting to get the 18490 version (Reo 2.1) It's supposed to be shorter and more compact.

I'm looking for more suggestions - but my concern is more with size than toughness. I'd like to be able to carry a spare Ego battery and perhaps a couple carts or clearomizers ready-to-go as backup - but in something thin enough to have in a suit or shirt pocket! I'm kind of stuck using my Ego stuff at home, but using 510 stuff when out on the road - becuase I have things like this to carry around backup. For instance, I'll use an Ego with a 510 carto on it - and they often just go bad on me, and I want to switch over. Plus, I want the security of a backup charged battery with me... Any suggestions for carrying an Ego and cartos in something fairly flat would be appreciated! Typical "Ego Case" is way to big...
