No hurry at all, I've got to save my pennies up again after finally ordering the Provari! But I want something good for it. I really like metal, really like metal! I'm hard on things, to a point of being ignorant!
I ordered two Vivi Nova's with metal tanks, I've used one and am less than impressed with it! So much so I wont even open the other one up! Muted flavor, then about 30 mins or so it's a burnt flavor, I think these will be finding a new home soon!
I really don't think I want to get into an RBA, it might be fine around the house, but dropped once and I think it's toast!
I've been happiest with carto tanks so far, good vapor, good throat hit, good flavor. I've looked at the IBT's, Phinilac's and Big Daddy's. I'm really leary of glass in any incarnation, aluminum and stainless dents, but doesn't shatter! The Big Daddy looks cool, but it's still just wrapped in metal, not a metal tank!
So what options are out there for a VERY durable tank that isn't an RBA, or cost as much or more than the Provari?

This is a new tank just out on the market. A one piece (no endcaps) stainless steel carto tank that has a pyrex tube on the inside, with two opposing windows to see the juice. Interesting design and should be a pretty durable tank. Just saw these last week and haven't gotten one yet. Website vendor said anodized colors to match the colored Provari's should be available "soon". $35 and some free juice to boot.

Nothing wrong with the vendor, and tank, the SS Defender Is awesome, I have 2,fast and free shipping, tippyclubb just got an order from there and far as I know she was very happy with what she ordered and the service she got. It's the internet, you can't believe everything out there that Is posted, just saying.

I'm glad you are happy with it, and things went your way on the sale, but when the owner has been banned on almost every vaping forum, you can do a google search on his name and get pages of information on past, present and ongoing issues involving scams, I'll pass. Yes, it is the internet and you can't believe it all, but it doesn't take much research to be informed, I don't have much money to work with so I have to spend it carefully, I don't see that as a safe purchase on my part.

To whomever it may concern,
you cant believe any and or everything you see or read on the internet today.. I personally know the owner and have been doing business with him for a long time without any issue none what so ever.. I own a SS Defender Tank and its the best tank on the market today, so easy to set up and use as well.. No leaks or cracking of the boracyclic glass insert, Feel free to use cinnamon juice or acidic juice's.. I have also ordered his custom ejuice from catskillmountainvaporstore.com the juice is +++++ five star rated, he has fast and free shipping as well.. Don't take the word from a few internet user's that has not one photo, picture or official document proving the owner is a fraud.. Its just plain childish and un-necessary to spread lie's of just a few bitter people based on false accusations.. come on people really.. The owner has been nothing but courteous and professorial with me, customer service cannot be beat, hands down.. One of the most pleasurable vaping experience's I've had in the two years I've been vaping..

I have no interest in spreading lies, I have no interest in trashing anyone, that was not my intent at all! I didn't want to make the post above, but I felt it necessary to explain why I would choose not to do business with them.
I am glad you are happy with your choice and I wish you well with it. Maybe if reports like the two above continue I will have a change of heart about my choice, but at this point this is the choice I choose to make.

I was in a 45+ mph side vehicle collision a few months ago and my Provari and Phiniac tank flew out the window landing on the asphalt upon impact. Provari just had a scratch on it but still fired up and the only damage the Phiniac had was a little road rash on the delrin cap.The Pyrex didnt have a scratch on it.

I understand being leary about glass but Pyrex is made to take temperatures in excess of 500 degrees on a regular basis and is shatterproof. If you need further proof Google the youtube video of a Phiniac being chucked at a brick wall.

I understand sawlight I really do.. I suggest to go to the web site and call Richard, talk to him and ask yourself whats the right thing to do.. If you choose not to do business with him that's your own decision and no one will hold that against you.. Like you I felt it was necessary to reply to the post and inject my opinion, and that's all it is..

I'm impressed! It's just the stigma, and me being an idiot that does a lot of stupid things, that make me leary!

I'll think about it some more, it is priced right, I'll give him that!
I also understand where you are coming from and I have no problem with two sides being presented, it's all good!

Prive tank also has a tube made from PMMA which will crack with fruit flavored or cinnamon juices in it. I bought one a couple of months ago and it took all of 3 minutes for my AVE juice to spiderweb the tank all over. Then I had to order replacement tubes from Greece and wait two weeks to receive them.

Do you have any Pyrex casserole dishes at home? pick one up and drop it from 4 feet or higher onto the floor, it'll cure your fears pretty quick :)

I do, and I have. Most times all is fine, but if they land jut right, or there is a weak spot, it's shatter time!
Keep in mind, I'm not the average Provari purchaser! This will not be used just in the house! I bought it based on it's durability rating, I'm hard on things and plan on being so with this! I play with chainsaws, log splitters, fell tree's out in the woods, build and weld a lot of things, work on cars and houses. I have this vision in my head, I'm out in the garage working on something and it falls out of my pocket then hits the corner of my welding table (1/2" plate steel) and shatters before it hits the ground. Or something of that nature!
I tend to get lost in the moment and focus more on the task at hand than other things going on around me.
I'm sure most Provari owners are cringing at the moment, but I spent the money on this just for these reasons!
