I drink mostly american style light beers, nothing fancy. Anyone have any suggestions what would go well with this beverage. Also I have a technical question about a mega battery here is the link to it : PigCig by LeCig - Personal Vaporizer Mega Batteries I was wondering if anyone knows what they mean when they say 'D1 rectangular notch heads' are they refering to the small rectangular indention on the battery side of a kr808-1 cartomizer? I would really like to know as I have been looking for a mega battery for the kr808d-1 that wasnt the length of a virginia slim. Any help would be great
Thanks guys!

Yes, I believe that the "notch head" refers to the notch on the threaded end of the cartomizers that allows for airflow. All cartos that I have used on my PigCig have these notches, but I have read that there are some cartos out there that are flat (not sure which manufacturer makes those). I've used cartos from LeCig, V4L WOWs, LiteCig, CigEasy, and Boge (my favorite thus far).

As for a good vape with beer, I typically stick with stronger flavors. My choice depends on what beer I'm drinking. I'm a craft-brew guy so I try out a lot of different types of beers. The trend that I have noticed is that menthol juices go well with lighter and sweeter beers, and chocolate goes well with darker and hoppier brews.....but that's just me. I'm sure that others have different preferences.

You have the pigcig? Look at the end of the battery - it is solid and notched like the top of a flat-head screw? That is not how KR808D-1 manual batteries look on the end. KR808D-1 expects the notch to be on the pole of the carto. If you don't have one I think I saw that in a video on the site or on Youtube. My guess is their "D1" and Pigcig are manual DSE901, not KR808D-1. Same threading but different expectations for air flow.

You other choices for long life KR808D-1 are
Kanger Vgo (not the 510-compatible Vgo)
CigEasy Elegant Easy

Well since im using cartomizers with the rectangular notch, should I invest in the pigcig mega? so far it looks like the best way to go.Ive used bloog maxxfusion cartomizers, litecigusa premium 808d-1 cartomizers, and the turbos from vapornine.com they all have the regtangular indention. Would I be safe to go with the pigcig? I feel like it would work?

I just checked my PigCig and the battery is slotted/notched so I take back the whole airflow comment I made in my previous post. I haven't really used the thing ever since getting my new mods. 808s and 901s are threaded the same. From what I understand, the difference between the two is airflow. 808s have the notch on the base of the threads, whereas the 901 has a hole on the side of the atty for airflow. I've used both 808 cartos and 901 atties on the PigCig.

So I noticed in your signature that your using the pigcig? is this correct? So its pretty much the joye Ego style battery for kr808 if im not mistaken. help?

You are correct. The PigCig is essentially an eGo style 808 battery. 650mah and (based on other peoples' tests on a multimeter) 3.4V under load.

All of those cartos should work on a PigCig.

Thanks for your help man, I was just making absolutely sure before I drop 30 bucks on a batt ya know. Also, whats a good resistance for carts for use on the pigcig? im using the turbo 808s from vapornine, not sure of the resistance. They seem to work very well on my 78 mm 808 batts. Any input on the subject of cart resistance?

BTW - never use the Pigcig's charging cable on a slim KR8 battery - if the Pigcig has a fast charger like Ego and Riva etc then that could damage a slim battery

I don't know good resistances. My guess would be 2.5 since you can go LR on a fat battery and it's a 3.7 battery? That would be heat-equivalent to a 2.1 ohm atty on a Ego/Riva which is 3.4v?

But if you like what you are using then just keep using them - PigCig and slim KR808D-1 should be the same 3.7v.

These are resistances that I was given by the vendors when I emailed them a long time ago (late 2010). I don't know which manufacturers they get their cartos from or if things have changed since then.

LiteCig Premium Carto: 3 ohms
LiteCig LR Carto: 2 ohms
V4L WOW Carto: 2 - 2.2 ohms
V4L Cool Carto: 3.3 - 3.5 ohms
Vapor Kings Carto: 2.8 - 3.0 ohms
LeCig Carto: 2.4 ohms
LeCig Mega-Carto: 2.3 ohms

When I was using the PigCig, I eventually tried and stayed with the Boge 2.0Ω cartos. The Boges are very easy to find at a good price and is probably the most popular carto out there (for both 808 and 510 models).

Like dormouse said, you should use the PigCig charger. It's not that you can't use a standard 808 batt charger on the PigCig, it's just that it will take a really long time to charge it (standard 808 is around 280mah, PigCig is 650mah).

EDIT: I forgot to answer your question on which resistance carto to use. This is really a matter of personal preference. The best way to view it is in terms of wattage. Wattage is the amount of power and is a function of voltage and resistance (W = V2/R). The higher the wattage, the hotter the vapor; the lower the wattage, the cooler the vapor. Keep in mind, a higher wattage may also tend to burn up certain juices, but this shouldn't be a problem with 3.7V and lower devices. I'm not sure of the resistance of vapornine cartos but assuming that it's 2.5Ω, with your 3.7V batt it comes out to 5.48 watts. Since the PigCig runs at 3.4V, you would need a 2.0-2.1Ω atty to get the same wattage.

... PigCig and slim KR808D-1 should be the same 3.7v.

I don't have a multimeter so I can't test this myself, but from what I have read (from DonDaBoom who is a very reliable source) the PigCig is 3.7V but only runs at 3.4V under load.

The PigCig runs at 3.4 like an Ego/Riva? Interesting. Are the kanger Vgo or CigEasy Elegant Easy a full 3.7v?

I can't believe Coolcarts are over 3 ohms. They are hotter than my 3 ohm Boges and Litecig Premiums

What I read elsewhere was that both WOW carts and Coolcarts are somewhat lower that standard resistance for the battery and that the WOW's were low 2's like 2.3 and the Coolcarts were 2.8 or so

BTW I wasn't saying not to charge Pigcig on his slow KR8 charger. I said not to charge a slim KR8 on the PigCig's charger cable
