Hey all,

Just wondering if somebody could point me to a step by step guide on how to make a VV box or tube mod...also I'm real good with stuff like wiring up car stereo systems or building computers...is making a VV mod any more harder than that?

Building computer and wiring car stereos is mostly a lot of knowing what tab goes into what slot. If you're looking to build a mod you should have some knowledge of actual electronics, or at least some soldering experience. Basic 3.7V box mods are easy -- a couple of wires, a button, a battery, a coax connector, some battery connectors and a switch. Easy peasy with some basic soldering skills. VV mods aren't quite so easy unless you get a pre-assembled VV board and can read the schematics to properly fit it into your mod.

Either way, if you're not at least passingly familiar with a soldering gun, flux core solder and a solder sucker or desoldering braid, I'd look to acquire that skill before attempting to build your own mod. Unless you'd like to try building your own mod through trial and error. :)

Unfortunately the Madvapemods forum got messed up and they are trying to restore it. I sure hope they can. They had great tutorials and schematics and stuff for making mods. That is where I would have sent you first.

But there are many interesting threads on ECF

(I don't see any VV mod kits at Madvapes)

Also see if you can find instructions for the Evercool circuit aka Varicool - it is some additional circuit some builders put in VV mods to give additional battery life with good performance.
