LOL... you have NO idea! We did all sorts of things back then to try to make things better. We pulled out whatever crappy wick they put in those cartridges and stuffed them with tea bags, blue aquarium filter foam... made our own battery packs using AA batteries... all just to stay off the stinkies. Now, there are so many options that it's hard to choose which path to awesomeness you want to take!

And kudos to you for sticking with it, even though it was so difficult back then. Looks like the true test of one's resolve was back then, now it's a walk in the park in comparison.

Yep, the best thing we had for a while were cartomizers... especially with carto-tanks! Those were awesome. Then came clearomizers (Like the CE4s and the like). Then Ego Twists and Vision Spinners. Now we've got 200W+ mods with temp control and rebuildable atomizers. More juice flavors than you can imagine... I remember when my choices were Tobacco, Menthol, and Coffee... if I remember correctly, that's all Smoking Anywhere had at the time. If someone can't quit smoking by vaping now-a-days, they just aren't trying hard enough... lol

LOL I just found an old Youtube video by PBusardo titled 'The Many Angles of Vaping'. I'd post the link but he comically does mention the word ....h a few times.

I was quite surprised at how easy it was to quit smoking. As soon I managed to setup my Subtank's RBA deck properly, I was set. Zero cravings. Vaper's tongue is annoying though, and going through a second bout of it into my 6th week of vaping is kind of annoying. Anyways, happy days! [emoji4]

Gah sorry you went through this. I go to shops to learn something and usually pay the price. Generally after a few bad experiences, with even online stores I tend to go to the same places cause I know I am getting what I ordered.

The good thing in buying straight from the store, is that you have your gears right in hands and their return policy may allow to take your items back to the store. Online shopping is definitively cheaper, but the waiting time is also frustrating, especially when I buy my stuff from China, like Fastech. Now, in my early time in vaping, I both V2 clones for the price of authentic ones and guess what, I went back there explaining that he's been selling me a bad clones... I never went back to that store again, and even worse, I discouraged many to shop there but rather invited them to check advice in here, ECF!

It's not a passing fancy, it's a lifestyle choice. It's reasonable for one to think of it as an investment; further complicated when considering investment to what end.

In my world, spending over the odds on a good set-up is not such a bad deal, not after products like V2.

I spent $800 on overpriced, under-effective e-cigs utilising rip-off refills.

Their products did not get me off smoking. That is the end game, although it still hurts I got taken for a lot of money by brands not dissimilar to V2 and VaporFi.

Until I have disrupted sales to these brands to the amount of 10 times what they took from me ($8,000) I will not let up.

I might have achieved that by now. Who knows?

I'm actually not trying to go 0mg nic. I have cut down from 36mg to 6mg, but that's mostly due to more effective equipment. Didn't take me long to realize that I can't handle 36mg on sub-ohms with rayon or ceramic wicks... I took a couple of pulls on a 0.25 ohm RDA/Mech with 36mg and quickly decided to thin that mix WAY down! Not gonna take it to zero, though. I'm pretty sure that nicotine intake is one of the things that helps me to suppress my homicidal urges...
