Not pitying myself here, nor asking for it. Just sayin'... I really wish that last juice order I made (that'll be here tomorrow) included some 48mg liquids or something. I started craving an analog right away until I thought about what it would taste like. I swear, PV's make cigarettes repellent to me. I can't go back. It's not possible. The people that claim PV's are a gateway to cigarettes are insane. I smoked for 16-17 years and I can't stand the taste of a cigarette anymore. I can't possibly imagine someone starting with a vaporizer and being able to switch to cigarettes after never even having one. It's like switching from a chocolate shake to an unleaded gasoline smoothie. Yuck city.

I just wish I had some high test liquid to deal with the stress that's about to hit me like a mudslide.

Stupid economy.

Keep your head up. Before you can open a new door you must close one behind you. I got laid off in January and it motivated me to get back in school and finish that degree. I must say it was the best thing that happened to me. Really!

I know exactly what you mean about analogs. They really stink and taste like crap after vaping for a few months. I can smell a smoker a mile away now. And my car is starting to get back to normal again. It is amazing how clean it stays now without all those ashes floating around.

I'm down to 3 days a week. If I'm lucky, they are 8 hour days. I just got a statement from my mortgage company saying that my escrow account fell short by $2,700. That puts my house note at about $2,100/month until the escrow is leveled out if taxes don't go up again this year (Yeah, right!)

I could use some higher nic myself.

D@mn, that's really sucks dude. I'm truly sorry to hear that. :(

I'm glad you're committed to not going back to analogs. Hang in there.

Won't happen. Can't happen. When I had the urge for that nic hit that an analog gives, the second I thought about actually having one I got nauseous. It's like asking a non-smoker to lick the bottom of an ashtray at this point. I wants me nicotine though!

Thanks for the support.

Now send me all your high MG bottles. LOL.

What industry do you work in, Apple? I thought the layoff's had slowed down in most areas. I'm really sorry although that doesn't help your situation any.

I'm a freelance artist and a picture framer. The picture framing was my steady income stream (though meager) which I would supplement with doing murals, portraits, minor graphic design, anything really (I can work in any medium). So I get hit a little later than most industries. There's a lag. People aren't looking to make "unnecessary" purchases right now, especially ones as expensive as mine. I worked for a guy that had 4 stores, then 3, now 2, and the manager of the store that's closing down is getting my job as he has 7 years seniority over me. Everyone else from that store got laid off too.

Sorry to hear bout the job, I worry bout work all the time but somehow we keep getting jobs in(I'm a machinist, work in a job shop). You got some 48mg comin so you should be fine, my 48 kicks my ..... I think instead of giving the banks and car manufactures millions/billions the gov't should have given every american 50G. That would have jump started the economy. GL with the job hunt.

Don't even think of going back to smoking, not at your record66666666667y09, you need something yell out, someone will pass it forward!! That was my cat, says hi!

No worries. It was a flash urge. It passed the second I thought about it. I have the advantage of having pretty much quit before I started vaping (save when I was drinking, which I just couldn't seem to quit) so it hasn't been that hard. Just news like that is a total trigger that my rational brain shut down toot-sweet. Worse comes to worse, I'll just have to tighten the belt and order some 48 (or TW's 54, is that out yet?) to superfuel my current stock.

You're right, it seems everyone except the very wealthy are just purchasing necessities right now. The future of the economy is so uncertain, everyone is hanging on to the money they have.
Maybe this will give you a chance to concentrate on what you love to do and you won't have to take side jobs anymore. At least, that is my hope for you.

I've said that a million times, though as a Libertarian I feel that ideally the feds should've stayed out of it altogether. That's what a free market is all about. If the feds left the free market alone, it would find it's level, but by putting little restrictions here and little restrictions there then boosting some businesses while letting others fail, they throw off the whole balance and foundation of how a free market works. I blame this all on the government. It's a total shambles right now and it hasn't been more transparent than in the e-cig situation.

I can't say I didn't see this coming. Business has been WAY down. I just didn't think I'd get the can in this particular wave of layoffs. The boss loved me, the manager loved me, so I'll have some glowing recommendations. I try to keep optimistic about everything. I've been wanting to move out of here for a while anyway, and this is one less thing that was making it easier to stay. Things will probably work out for the best, but I can't say I don't have my concerns. I just know I have a really strong support base of friends and family that will never let me fall.

Unfortunately I don't have any 48 on the way, that's what I was saying. I was actually cutting back from 24 to 18, which is what all my new juice is going to be.

No stimulus package for you either.
I am a equipment operator and i have been out for a long time
and a lot of the outfits i used to work for are gone

What makes me angry is they say unemployment is down
They are counting the amount of people collecting unemployment

What about the people that have run out of unemployment benefits
Including the extensions
Don't they count ?

Been out of work since the end of March. Been looking for work feverishly, went on a few interviews, no call backs. Good references and experience, just nothing happening here in Michigan, not for anyone. Plus, I hate the idea of having to be a professional student every time the economy takes a dump! Did that last time, nine years ago, I'd hate to lose what I gained in knowledge for my last job only to be replaced for a job that I maybe might get after going back to school this time!

Applejackson,

I don't want to continue the stories of rough times so I'll just say that I understand your predicament as I'm a freelancer as well (similar industries and clientele). There's a corner ahead for all us and we just have to keep on walking until we get to that point, that corner, where we'll turn into our new phases.

I concentrate on what I'm good at and what I can offer without the overt selling. Strange how this all works but passion speaks for itself and so far I've been able to make it, if only month to month. Given how expensive San Francisco is I consider myself fortunate and know that if I ever gave up or gave into "market forces" or let the economy drive what I do, I'd be screwed (intellectually and financially). There is an audience out there for what you do, even in this economy.

Good luck and keep strong! Oh,...and analogs are indeed nasty - in any economy.
