o.k so I received my new spinner battery and im wondering whats the scoop on this spinner? I know what the thang is supposed to do as regards to being able to vary the voltage but I read on the SI site that clearly states that all volt cartos and clearos should NOT be vaped more than the 3.8 setting on this spinner. so if that's the case (and im only vaping volt carts and t3s) why do I need the ability to vape at higher voltages...like as high as 4.8 especially since that's not recommended from volt? my only guess is that maybe if im vaping other companies carts or clearos their gear is compatible with higher voltage vaping? maybe the higher voltage settings on the spinner are for vaping different kinds of juices or what? I know the higher voltage settings is supposed to give a hotter, more powerful vape or a lower setting will give a cooler, less pluming vape...im just not sure what are the other advantages of using this spinner? all my other volt batteries are 3.6 volt. so if that's the case why even have a spinner that goes up to 4.8 if the volt recommendation does not go that high? I really think the spinner is cool tho and its a good addition to my gear (LOL). I have also read and watched many youtube vids with vapers doing the variable voltage thang, just not sure what the big deal is I guess...somebody please enlighten me on the scoop of owning this spinner !!!

From my experience, you can vape as high as about 4.5 without any adverse effects. Vapeing anything higher than that usually ends up tasting dry/burnt as it outpaces the wicking action of any of SI's delivery systems. The normal x2's come off the charger around 4.3/4.2 v, so it's safe to say that you can go as high as that without having anything mess up. That's usually around where I vape.

The reason SI recommends you stay at 3.8 volts is that their carto's and clearomizers are 2.6 to 2.8 ohm's range. I actually run mine at 4.0 volt's and don't have any issue's. I've used other carto's while waiting for an order and I've had to turn it down to 3.5 volt's to avoid burning them. I've ran vision stardust at 4.4 volt's and worked great. different Juice's taste better at different voltage's. Best thing is to start at 3.8 volt's then adjust till you find a sweet spot for the Juice and gear you have attached to it. What I really like about my spinners compared to my X2 battery's is the fact that you set the voltage and it hold's there fairly close . X2's start at about 4 volts fully recharged , quickly drop to 3.7 and continue down to 3.6 or so. Plus my 1300 mAh spinner recharges in about 3 hour's compared to the 7-8 hours my 900 mAh X2 battery take's to recharge. The X2 is a great back up battery though since you can also use it while it's plugged in and charging.. of course this is all just my own opinion. your actual usage and mileage may vary ;)

what most of you said is true. I will only add that its nice to kick up the power on thicker VG juices and such to get them to vape well. There is an obvious too high point but you can find that out pretty quickly. I also have a 1300 mah spinner and will definetly say the main drawback is the battery life especially when I am over 4 volts. Not near the capacity imo as compared to the normal X2.

Some sweet juices taste much better set at a lower voltage, i.e. 3.3-3.4 range. It all depends on your taste. I enjoy SI's RY4 in a T3 set around 4.3 or slightly higher; Niquid's Sinnamon in same setup with the voltage around 4.0. I enjoy sweet flavors like Blueberry set at around 3.7. Having the variable voltage gives you a wide range of enjoyment without experiencing any burnt taste.

Also keep in mind... if the battery seems to drain faster than the X2, it charges back to full capacity in less than half the time. ;)

GGGreat replies...ya, ive been using the x2 until now. and another thing I noticed about the x2 is as the battery gets weaker the same goes for the amount of juice flavor and plume I get. then I guess its safe to assume that with the spinner it will hold its voltage better than the x2 does? and my x2 takes about 4 hours usually to charge, but I have never ran it completely down as far as I know of. I hear the spinner charges up much faster....if my spinner is totally dead, how long will it take to charge? I am gonna keep my x2 as my now back-up battery.

Yes spinner holds output voltage a lot better. My 1300 mah spinner takes almost 3 hours to fully recharge. That's If I run it all the way down till led blinks. I chain vape and mine last about 9 hours per charge but I'm also running it at 4 volts. The lower your voltage setting the longer the battery lasts

Both the SI X2 and spinners are definitely high quality products but a completely depleted 1300 X2 can take up to 10 or more hours to fully charge back up. My 650 X2s are mainly used when I'm on the go and are never fully drained when I get back. My spinners are mostly for home use enjoyment. For me, these are the best uses of both.
